One of our partner organizations Safe Haven for Refugees has just launched their year-end campaign for Sudanese and South Sudanese refugees in Uganda—families who fled the poorest country in the world and now live in Bidi Bidi, the second largest refugee settlement on earth.
While we continue serving refugees in Turkey, we made three trips last year to help South Sudanese refugees and are expanding in 2026 to serve both Sudanese and South Sudanese families. Thank you for your help in advance!

This December campaign is different. Your Giving Tuesday gift this year will directly fund our 2026 operations and provide critical aid in Africa. Grants and your regular gifts help fund specific projects—the food security program, student aid, farming seeds for refugees, and medical camps. But operational costs—staff, logistics, coordination—make all of that possible. Your Giving Tuesday gift will help keep our team on the ground so we can run those projects throughout 2026.
At Bidi Bidi refugee settlement in Uganda, we've already:
• Helped perform nearly 200 surgeries (including 103 cataract operations restoring sight)
• Delivered seeds and farming tools for 100 hectares of cultivation
• Established our Food Security Program for 100 refugee families
• Donated $80,000 in surgical equipment to the local Yumbe Regional hospital
Recent aid stoppages mean these families now face increased hunger. Some are being forced to consider returning to war zones.
If you are able, we are very grateful for gifts to help us continue this work in 2026. Your past generosity has already changed lives and these families do need your help as we expand our work to needier places. Thanks for considering this!
