But for many farmers and farmer organisations, climate finance remains difficult to access, complex to navigate to reach communities on the frontline.

This 45-minute dialogue will bring together farmer organisations, farmer representatives, climate-finance actors, development partners and the World Rural Forum to discuss a central question:

What needs to change for climate finance to reach farmers more effectively—and what role can farmer organisations play?

Together, we will explore the barriers that keep finance from reaching farmer-led climate action, the support and safeguards farmer organisations need, and practical ways to make funding more accessible, accountable and responsive to local priorities.

If climate finance is meant to support people on the frontline of climate change, it must reach them. Join the conversation and help put farmers at the centre of climate action and climate finance.

Halo from Port Vila 🇻🇺

The Pacific Farmer Organisations team, together with two of our farmer organisation members Growers Federation of Tonga and Kastom Gaden Association, arrived safely in Port Vila yesterday ahead of the Pacific Innovation Forum on Climate and Environment (PIFCE).

The team met with our Vanuatu member, Farm Support Association & Syndicat Agricole et Pastoral de Vanuatu, for a short briefing and to set up the PFO booth at the event venue.

This is an important opportunity for PFO and its members to bring the voices of our farmers into regional dialogue. Pacific Farmer Organisations stands alongside our member organisations in championing climate-smart agricultural practices, protecting biodiversity, and strengthening the resilience of our farming communities for generations to come.

We look forward to engaging with partners and stakeholders over the coming days.
