*Another morning, another story in Camposilvano...*
We started the day with a delicious Mediterranean breakfast — tomatoes, olives, cheese... But what we shared around the table was more than just food; it was laughter, sleepy smiles, and the excitement of a brand-new day☀️
Then we headed downstairs, and the first magic moment began: the Appreciation Box🍇
Each note we read carried warmth and kindness. It lifted our spirits and made the morning even brighter✨
Right after that, a quick energizer gave us another boost before we moved into the Politics & Public Speaking session🗣️
Evelyn handed each of us a topic on a piece of paper, and we had one minute to speak, following the structure of an elevator pitch. We used the power of rhetoric, body language, and our own voices to express our thoughts👩🏻⚖️
My topic was colonialism. I brought in examples from history, spoke with intention and confidence — and for the first time in a long while, I felt truly heard📍
After a short coffee break, we dove into the Diary Session.
Pietro stuck mysterious phrases on the wall. We had to guess which concept or character each one represented. And because each of us brings a unique lens to the world, the interpretations were incredibly rich and varied.
Same sentence, many stories. That’s the beauty of perspective🤹🏻♀️
Then came something deeper: the Open Space on Art.
Oumayna guided us through a meditative experience. We sat on the ground, closed our eyes, and set off on a journey into our imaginations🦚
We talked about our dreams, hopes, and expectations — and placed them gently into a small suitcase🪺
In my case, I dreamed of a world without war. A place where children laugh freely and no one dies unjustly. That suitcase carried my hopes to a utopia I long to see💐
After the meditation, we felt light as feathers — as if we had just flown through our own dreams🌺
Next came the Wheel of Life.
Hanna asked us to draw a wheel and fill it with life concepts like family, health, friends, and purpose. Then we rated each one from 0 to 10, based on how fulfilled we felt in that area.
We reflected. We shared. We became more aware of ourselves and our lives🌝
Sometimes you need to step back and see the full picture — and that’s exactly what we did⚡
As the day moved into evening, it was time for one of the most heartwarming activities: Intercultural Night🧚🏻♀️
We rushed to the kitchen, filled with excitement. The Turkish group, including me, worked hard to prepare un helvası — a traditional dessert. After some chaotic fun (and thankfully no scolding from Francesco!), we stepped back and prepared for the evening🍭🍬🍫
Algeria, France, and Turkey came together — each team set up a table filled with traditional food and drinks from our cultures.
We gave small presentations, danced to our music, and proudly shared what makes our countries and traditions unique🩷
And in doing so, we discovered how much we all have in common.
I truly believe that the more cultures you get to know, the richer your perspective becomes.
As people from different backgrounds, we came together under the same roof, united in curiosity, respect, and joy.
And I feel incredibly lucky to share these moments with such warm, open-hearted souls.
Teşekkürler, beautiful people.
Today, we didn’t just do activities — we felt, reflected, laughed, shared, and most of all, connected.
This project isn’t just a place. It’s a spirit. And that spirit stays with us, wherever we go💘
