🌊 On 21 July 2026, the Ministry of Environment of Tunisia, with the support of SPA/RAC, launched the participatory process for preparing Tunisia’s National Action Plan Plus (NAP+) and its associated Investment Plan under the FishEBM MED project, funded by GEF.

Bringing together representatives from key national institutions, the first stakeholder meeting initiated a collaborative process to integrate biodiversity conservation and sustainable fisheries into Tunisia’s blue economy agenda.

Rather than creating a parallel process, the NAP+ will build on existing national initiatives and translate strategic priorities into concrete actions for the fisheries and biodiversity sectors.
