As part of the series ‘Groundwater – The Invisible Lifeline’, this session will explore groundwater as a shared resource and highlight how behaviour, governance, citizen science and community participation can support more sustainable groundwater management.

Through local and regional case studies, the webinar will show how collective action can strengthen groundwater monitoring, recharge, rejuvenation and watershed management.

💧 Groundwater Matters - 3rd Webinar in the Series - 16th July 14:00-15:30 (CEST)💧

We are hosting a series of online webinars in cooperation with UNESCO, The World Bank Group, World Meteorological Organization, and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), coordinators of the UN-Water Expert Group on Groundwater.

In the third webinar in the series, we will emphasize the economic value of groundwater and integrated water resources management. We will discuss financing, technology and capacity building for water management, and demonstrate how investment can unlock the full potential of groundwater. Rawiyah Al Hasan - Hydroinformatics Groundwater Specialist at UNDP - will act as Rapporteur during this session.
