IRI est une organisation non partisane et à but non lucratif qui s'engage à faire progresser la liberté et la démocratie à travers le monde. IRI a ouvert son bureau à Tunis en 2011 et travaille avec les acteurs et les garants principaux de l’instauration d’un régime démocratique comme les partis politiques, la société civile, l’Assemblée des Représentants du Peuple et ses élus.
