Yesterday, on the occasion of International Girls in ICT ( information & communication technologie ) Day, we conducted a micro-trottoir within our faculty✨
We presented several innovations to students and asked them a simple question: which of these technologies do you think were invented by women?

The answers varied,some confident, others uncertain… but the real surprise was that all of these innovations were created by women!💜

The technologies presented were:
*frequency hopping_Hedy Lamarr 1942
*COBOL (Common Business-Oriented Language)_Grace Hopper1959
*kevlar_Stephanie Kwolek 1965
*Radioactivity_Marie Curie 1897

For decades, women have been shaping the world through their ideas, creativity, and intelligence, even though their contributions have often remained in the shadows💜

On this International Girls in ICT Day, we celebrate their impact and continue to encourage every girl to dream, create, and innovate without limits🌷

Another meaningful step in our mission to inspire young minds.

As part of EduVision.tn, EEE Circuits and Systems Society ENET’Com Student Branch Chapter, in collaboration with JCI Sakiet Eddaier and IEEE ENET'Com Women in Engineering Student Affinity Group , brought technology closer to pupils at “El Kamel” Primary School through an engaging session on sensors and human senses.

💡 From understanding the analogy between human senses
🤖 To discovering how sensors help machines perceive the world
⚡ Pupils interacted, experimented, and learned through hands-on activities

This experience went beyond theory, it connected everyday human perception to technology, sparked curiosity, and introduced pupils to the fundamentals of sensing and intelligent systems in a fun and accessible way.
