المرأة الريفية اليوم ما عادش مجرد مستفيدة ، بل هي فاعل اساسي في حوكمة المياه ، هي اللي تستعمل الماء يوميا في الفلاحة ، في تربية الماشية ، وفي الاستعمالات المنزلية وعندها معرفة ميدانية كبيرة تنجم تساهم بيها في اتخاذ القرار .

Today, rural women are no longer just beneficiaries; they are key actors in water governance. They use water daily in agriculture, livestock farming, and household activities, and they possess valuable field knowledge that can strongly contribute to decision-making.

في إطار مشروع Aqua Med، نظّمت جمعية Green Compass، بالتعاون مع مجمع بوابة مجاز الباب ، فعاليات التكوين الأول حول "حوكمة المياه ودور المرأة الريفية"، بحضور مجموعة من النساء الريفيات والمهتمات بقضايا البيئة والتنمية المحلية.🌍

تميّز اللقاء بأجواء تفاعلية ونقاشات ثرية حول أهمية الماء في الحياة اليومية، والتحديات المرتبطة بالموارد المائية، خاصة ما يتعلّق بحماية وادي مجردة💧 باعتباره من أهم الموارد المائية بالجهة وشريانًا حيويًا للفلاحة والتنمية المحلية. كما تم التطرّق إلى مفهوم حوكمة المياه ودور مختلف الأطراف المتدخلة في حسن إدارتها.

وقد تمّ تسليط الضوء على الدور الأساسي للمرأة الريفية في الحفاظ على الموارد المائية، وترشيد استهلاك الماء، والمشاركة في اتخاذ القرار على المستوى المحلي. كما تضمّن التكوين أنشطة تطبيقية وتمارين جماعية ساهمت في تبادل الخبرات واقتراح حلول عملية للمشاكل المرتبطة بالماء في المناطق الريفية.

As part of the Aqua Med Project, Green Compass, in collaboration with Majaz El Bab North Gate Complex, organized the first training workshop on “Water Governance and the Role of Rural Women” on Friday, April 24, 2026, bringing together rural women and participants interested in environmental and local development issues.

The session was highly interactive and included rich discussions on the importance of water in daily life and the challenges facing water resources, with special attention to the protection of Oued Majerda, one of the region’s most vital water sources and a key lifeline for agriculture and local development. Participants also explored the concept of water governance and the role of different stakeholders in sustainable water management.

Special emphasis was placed on the essential role of rural women in protecting water resources, promoting responsible water use, and participating in local decision-making processes. The workshop also included practical activities and group exercises that encouraged experience-sharing and the development of local solutions to water-related challenges in rural areas.

يُعد وادي مجردة 🌊 من أهم الأنهار في تونس، إذ يمثل مصدرًا أساسيًا للمياه والري في الشمال الغربي. وقد ساهم عبر التاريخ في تطوير النشاط الفلاحي 🌱 واستقرار السكان، حيث تعتمد عليه مساحات واسعة لإنتاج الحبوب والخضروات وتربية الماشية 🐄، مما يجعله ركيزة مهمة للاقتصاد الوطني.

في هذا الإطار، تلعب المرأة الريفية 👩‍🌾 دورًا أساسيًا في استغلال موارد الوادي، إذ تشارك في مختلف الأعمال الفلاحية مثل الزراعة والحصاد 🌾 والعناية بالحيوانات. كما ترتبط حياتها اليومية ارتباطًا مباشرًا بالمياه 💧 التي يوفرها الوادي، سواء في العمل أو داخل الأسرة.

ورغم هذا الدور الحيوي، تواجه المرأة الريفية عدة تحديات ⚠️، من بينها ضعف الأجور وصعوبة ظروف العمل والتنقل 🚐، إضافة إلى تأثرها الكبير بالتغيرات المناخية 🌍 مثل الجفاف أو الفيضانات 🌧️، التي تنعكس سلبًا على الإنتاج الفلاحي ومصدر رزقها.
✨، يبقى وادي مجردة شريان حياة مهم في تونس، وتظل المرأة الريفية عنصرًا أساسيًا في استغلاله. لذلك، فإن دعمها وتحسين ظروفها يساهم في تحقيق تنمية مستدامة 🌿 وعدالة اجتماعية في المناطق الريفية.
The Medjerda River 🌊 is one of the most important rivers in Tunisia, serving as a vital source of water and irrigation in the northwest. Throughout history, it has played a key role in developing agricultural activities 🌱 and supporting population stability. Large areas depend on it for producing cereals, vegetables, and livestock farming 🐄, making it a cornerstone of the national economy.

In this context, rural women 👩‍🌾 play a crucial role in using the river’s resources. They are involved in various agricultural tasks such as planting, harvesting 🌾, and caring for animals. Their daily lives are closely linked to the water 💧 provided by the river, both in their work and within their households.

Despite this essential role, rural women face several challenges ⚠️, including low wages, difficult working conditions, and transportation issues 🚐. They are also highly affected by climate change 🌍, such as droughts and floods 🌧️, which negatively impact agricultural production and their livelihoods.

✨ The Medjerda River remains a lifeline in Tunisia, and rural women continue to be key actors in its use. Supporting them and improving their conditions is essential for achieving sustainable development 🌿 and social equity in rural areas.

اليوم قام فريق Green Compass بزيارة ميدانية إلى سلوڨية (باجة)🌿، حيث التقينا بالسكان المحليين القاطنين بجانب وادي مجردة. كانت فرصة مهمة للاستماع إليهم وتبادل الأفكار وفهم العلاقة بين الإنسان والبيئة في هذه المنطقة.
كما قمنا بجولة استكشافية في الموقع، مما ساعدنا على تعميق ارتباطنا بهذا النظام البيئي الهام والتفكير في سبل حمايته.

كما رافقنا فريق Ecologia podcast 🎙️ حيث قاموا بتوثيق مقابلات مع السكان المحليين (قريبًا). ترقبونا!

Today, Green Compass conducted a field visit to Slougeya (Béja) 🌿, where we met with local communities living along Oued Medjerda 🌊. It was a valuable opportunity to listen, exchange, and better understand the environmental and social dynamics connected to Tunisia’s largest river.

We also explored the area together, strengthening our connection with this vital ecosystem and reflecting on the importance of preserving it. 🌍

في 31 مارس، وفي إطار مشروع Aqua-Med، سعدنا بتقديم مبادرتنا لطلبة المعهد الوطني للعلوم الفلاحية بتونس .
كانت هذه الجلسة فرصة مميزة للتفاعل مع شباب مهتم بالقضايا البيئية.
خلال هذا العرض، قدمنا أهداف المشروع، أنشطتنا الميدانية، وآفاق التعاون مع الجيل القادم من صناع التغيير 💙

On March 31st, as part of the Aqua-Med project, we had the pleasure of presenting our initiative to students at INAT.

This session was a great opportunity to engage with motivated young people interested in environmental challenges.

During the presentation, we shared the project’s objectives, our field activities, and future collaboration opportunities with the next generation of changemakers ♻️

Aqua-Med | Oued Majerda: Our Water, Our Responsibility ♻💧🌍

يساهم التلوث المسجل في حوض وادي مجردة في التأثير سلبًا على:
▪️ النظم البيئية المائية
▪️ جودة الموارد المائية

🌍💧 اليوم العالمي للمناطق الرطبة
حماية الطبيعة… حماية للحياة
تُحيي جمعية Green Compass اليوم العالمي للمناطق الرطبة، الموافق لـ 2 فيفري من كل سنة، وهو موعد عالمي للتذكير بالأهمية البيئية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية للمناطق الرطبة، باعتبارها من أكثر النظم البيئية غنىً بالتنوع البيولوجي، وأشدّها هشاشة في الوقت ذاته.
تُعدّ المناطق الرطبة، مثل البحيرات، السباخ، المستنقعات، والمناطق الساحلية الرطبة، خط الدفاع الأول ضد التغيرات المناخية، إذ تلعب دورًا أساسيًا في:
🌱 الحفاظ على التنوع البيولوجي وموائل الطيور والكائنات المائية
💧 تنقية المياه وإعادة تغذية الموائد المائية
🌊 التخفيف من آثار الفيضانات والعواصف
🐟 دعم سبل عيش المجتمعات المحلية، خاصة في الصيد والفلاحة المستدامة
ورغم هذه الأهمية، تشهد المناطق الرطبة في تونس والعالم تدهورًا متسارعًا نتيجة التوسع العمراني غير المنظم، التلوث، الاستغلال المفرط للموارد، والتغيرات المناخية.
