Vision doesn't stop at the sketch anymore.
For NETINFO and DigiArt Living Lab, Fashion Tech is a natural next chapter of work we've been doing at the intersection of creative practice and emerging technology.
With BAF, we're developing a Fashion Tech co-creation pilot bringing together two African fashion designers, Hiwot Takele from Ethiopia and Julie Adhiambo from Kenya, with digital creation expertise.
The three-month pilot will explore how their creative visions can be translated into 3D and real-time production, through weekly milestones that keep the designers at the centre of the creative process.
This builds on DigiArt Living Lab's previous work with artists, including Africa Metaverse, where jewelry artists from Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt brought their craft into digital environments while preserving their authorship.
For NETINFO and DALL, this isn't only about learning new tools.
It's about building connections between talent, creativity, technology and opportunity across Africa.
