From Ideas to Action: The Cycle 3 Journey 💡

What does it take to turn an idea into something real?

During Cycle 3, EmpoweerNEET participants moved from inspiration to action, exploring how ideas can be shaped into more structured and sustainable projects.
Through hands-on exercises, teamwork, and practical learning, they worked with the Business Model Canvas, explored the foundations of business planning, and strengthened their understanding of financial literacy.

More than learning how a business works, this cycle was about asking the right questions, testing ideas, making informed decisions, and starting to imagine what could come next.

✨ Looking back at the inspiring moments of Cycle 3!

Cycle 3 of the EmpoweerNEET Training Programme focused on Entrepreneurial Skills, Business Planning, and Financial Literacy, creating a practical space for participants to turn their ideas into structured and sustainable business opportunities.

Through interactive sessions, collaborative activities, and hands-on learning, participants strengthened their entrepreneurial mindset, developed their Business Model Canvas (BMC), explored financial planning, and gained a better understanding of the key steps needed to transform an idea into a viable project.

📸 A glimpse into Cycle 3.

Moments of learning, exchange, and collaboration from the EmpoweerNEET Training Programme on Entrepreneurial Skills, Business Planning, and Financial Literacy.
Cycle 3 is designed to equip NEET youth (Not in Education, Employment or Training) with practical knowledge and tools to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills, develop their business ideas, understand financial fundamentals, and build the mindset needed to turn ideas into viable projects.

Through interactive sessions, practical activities, and collaborative exercises, participants explored entrepreneurial skills, business planning, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mindset, while gaining confidence in shaping their own professional and entrepreneurial pathways.

These photos capture key moments from Day 1 of the in-person training — a day filled with engagement, teamwork, exchange, and learning as participants took another step toward transforming their ideas into concrete opportunities. 🚀

🌍 TCSE Brings Its Voice to the Pact for the Mediterranean

On 23 July, the Tunisian Center for Social Entrepreneurship (TCSE) took part in the Civil Society Consultations on the Implementation of the Pact for the Mediterranean in Brussels, organised by the European Commission in collaboration with the IEMed.

Representing TCSE, our Project Manager Yasmin Falfoul contributed as rapporteur to the Focus Group on Inclusive Entrepreneurship, Social Economy and Decent Job Creation under StartUp4Med, and specifically to the discussion on promoting social economy and inclusive economic models across the region.

The exchange brought together diverse Mediterranean civil society and ecosystem actors to reflect on how regional initiatives can better support inclusive and sustainable economic opportunities.

One key message emerged from the discussion: inclusive entrepreneurship requires more than isolated projects or short-term support. It requires strong, locally anchored ecosystems connecting enabling policies, appropriate finance, market access, skills, trusted local actors and sustained accompaniment.

For TCSE, this was a valuable opportunity to bring perspectives from our work in Tunisia, including the EmpoweerNeet project, into a wider Mediterranean dialogue on social entrepreneurship, inclusion, and decent job creation.

We thank the European Commission and IEMed for creating this valuable space for for Mediterranean civil society to contribute to the implementation of the Pact for the Mediterranean.

Special appreciation goes to Anne-France Wittmann , Juan Nicolás , and Iyad AlJaber for coordinating the Focus Groups, and to the wider IEMed team—especially Gemma Aubarell Solduga, Senén Florensa, Jenny Gilbert, Ana López, and Rim FILALI MEKNASSI—for bringing together such diverse voices from across the Mediterranean.

📸 Cycle 2 – Online & Follow-up Journey | EmpoweerNEET Training Programme

Cycle 2 began with 2 online preparatory days, introducing participants to the fundamentals of Social Entrepreneurship, the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE), and problem-solving approaches. These sessions encouraged participants to observe their communities, identify local challenges, and start thinking about innovative and sustainable solutions.

This was followed by 4 in-person training days, where participants explored the principles of social entrepreneurship through interactive workshops, teamwork, practical exercises, and solution-design activities. Together, they strengthened their entrepreneurial mindset, collaboration skills, and ability to transform ideas into community-driven initiatives.

The cycle then continued with 2 online follow-up days, providing participants with the opportunity to reflect on their learning, refine their ideas, receive constructive feedback, and continue developing their proposed social solutions.

A special appreciation goes to the TCSE team, especially Rabeb and Mohamed, for their strong coordination, facilitation, and continuous support throughout all phases of the cycle.
These moments reflect a complete learning journey from exploration and ideation to collaboration and reflection empowering NEETs to become active contributors to sustainable and inclusive community development.

Cycle 2 empowered NEETs (people not in education, employment or training) to explore how entrepreneurial ideas can address social and environmental challenges while creating sustainable opportunities.

Through interactive workshops, group work, and practical exercises, participants strengthened their entrepreneurial mindset, developed innovative solution ideas, discovered the principles of the Social and Solidarity Economy, and enhanced key skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
