𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗞𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗙𝗙!
On Monday, 5th October 2026, English Conversation Course - Timor-Leste officially received our new students. The President and the board members openly extended a warm welcome to the newcomers and presented the current board structure, ECC's establishment, and processes. Moreover, they explained the rules for new students, and also encouraged them to be active in class and outside activities for a total of six months in order to become full official members.
We would like to give our gratitude and appreciation to Escola Superior de Enfermagem, Faculdade de Medicina e Ciências da Saúde of UNTL, and the Senate of the Student Council of the Faculty who communicated well with us and gave us the spaces to utilize. The board members also encourage old/official students to return home since they have been far away from us for a long time.
During our first week in our new field, we were getting acquainted to know each other closely, share our interests and personal stuff, and talk about each other's cultures, while encouraging each other for better improvement and to create societal impacts. We also discussed and debated social phenomena and lastly talked with our International Volunteer Tutors such as maun Takeo, the Japanese guy, and the Malaysian guy, maun Thurston. We hope that our other International friends get to join us again in these upcoming weeks.
ECC-TL's complex environment promotes diversity through our members' heterogeneous backgrounds while liberally exchanging ideas and free will. It's not just about English, but all are with fun, critical thinking, and creative expression.
