20 April 2026, Ainaro – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) officially inaugurated a new Regional Warehouse (Region III), located at the CVTL Ainaro Branch in Builico Sub-Village, Ainaro Vila Village, Ainaro Municipality. The initiative aims to strengthen logistics capacity and enhance response to disasters and emergencies in the future.

As part of efforts to reinforce disaster preparedness and response systems at the regional level, the new warehouse will serve several municipalities, including Ainaro, Aileu, Covalima, and Manufahi. The facility will be used to store and manage essential emergency supplies, such as Family Kits and Hygiene Kits, ensuring a rapid, efficient, and well-coordinated response in times of disaster or emergency.

The inauguration ceremony was led by the President of CVTL, Madalena F. M. H. C. Soares, and was attended by the Municipal Council of Directive (CDM) of Ainaro, Aileu, Covalima, as well as the representative of the American Red Cross (AmCross), Mr. Md. Sazzad Ansari, The event also saw the presence of partners and relevant authorities, including the representative of the President of the Ainaro Municipal Authority, the Commander of the PNTL Ainaro Station, representatives of the F-FDTL stationed in Ainaro, the Civil Protection Authority, MAE, SMASA, STPCS, MJ, MSSI, and local leaders, including head of village, head of Sub-Village, youth leaders, and community members.

The CVTL Ainaro Branch expresses its sincere gratitude to local authorities and all partners who have contributed and continue to support efforts to strengthen the capacity and presence of CVTL in Timor-Leste, particularly in Ainaro Municipality.

The new warehouse was constructed by Seixas Company, Unipessoal Lda., with the support of the American Red Cross (AmCross).

16 April 2026, Dili – Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL), through its First Aid trainers, conducted a one-day Basic First Aid refresher training for Maddog Adventure staff at the CVTL Training Hall in Formosa, Dili.

A total of five participants attended the training, including one female and four male participants. The session covered key topics such as an introduction to First Aid, step-by-step First Aid procedures, bleeding control, injuries, fractures, and safe transportation of casualties.

20 April 2026, Dili – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL), through the Secretary General Mr. Agapito da Silva, expressed his gratitude to the IX Constitutional Government through the Civil Society Support Office (GASC) for the support given through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), at the Government Palace, Dili.

This support will further strengthen CVTL's efforts to continue providing humanitarian services effectively and sustainably, especially to vulnerable communities in Timor-Leste.

18 April 2026, Dili – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL), together with the Blood Bank Department, Guido Valadares National Hospital (BdS-HNGV), in good collaboration with DILIMAR, Timor-Leste (DM), held a blood donation activity at HNGV, Bidau, Dili.

This activity was well attended by DILIMAR staff and directors and volunteer blood donors, who showed solidarity and love for those who need a blood transfusion to save lives.

This initiative is very helpful to patients who need blood urgently; and to increase blood stocks at the Guido Valadares National Hospital (HNGV) to ensure that there is sufficient blood for medical emergencies.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this activity and encourage everyone to continue to participate in blood donation, blood donation, saving lives.

Participants Total: 27; Female: 20; Male: 7.
