UNICEF worked with Timor-Leste’s National Directorate of Water and Sanitation Regulatory (DNRAS) of the Ministry of Public Works to launch Climate Rationale for Water 💧, Sanitation and Hygiene in Timor-Leste, yesterday. This guide is an important step to make water, sanitation, and hygiene services safe, reliable, and sustainable for everyone — especially children and vulnerable groups.

The launch was in Dili jointly by H.E. Júlio do Carmo, Vice Minister of Infrastructure, Ministry of Public Works; Edward Wilkinson, Deputy Australian Ambassador to Timor-Leste; David Freedman, World Bank Group Representative in Timor-Leste; and Patrizia DiGiovanni, UNICEF Representative in Timor-Leste. It was attended by the Director General of Electricity, Water and Sanitation, national directors from key ministries, and representatives from NGOs and UN agencies.

UNICEF continue working with stakeholders to make water, sanitation and hygiene services more climate resilient, for every child in Timor-Leste 💧
