A few days at Izuba Washing Station in Burundi during harvest. 🇧🇮☕

Izuba works with more than 2,000 coffee-producing families across the surrounding collines (French word for hills) of Kigeri, Mugoyi and Ryamukona. Throughout harvest, cherries from each area are processed separately, creating distinct micro lots that reflect the character of each colline.

The station was busy with producers delivering cherry and the processing team working to maintain quality through every stage. More than 300 women producers also deliver coffee to Izuba, with their harvests contributing to the Ishurwe Women’s Group lots.

We look forward to tasting this years Izuba coffees as samples start to flow over the next few months.

Looking at how bamboo can be treated and used for building materials as part of the 11 Million Trees program.

We’re well underway with early work on phase two of 11 Million Trees 🌲 in Timor Leste. At Raimutin, we’ve been busy upgrading the wet mill facilities in preparation for harvest. Joined by Matt’s neighbour (another Mat - though with one T) we’ve worked alongside the Atsabe team to install recycled plastic panels and enhance the station’s infrastructure.

Steady work with a healthy dose of coffee breaks as we gear up for the harvest period.
