Hello everyone!!! My name is Subhon Bobojonov, and I have enrolled at the University of Birmingham this year.
🙌 TajRupt is an organization that turns human potential into human capital. It became the location where I realized who I truly am. I recall arriving at my village feeling as if I were living in a vacuum. TajRupt provided an open and interesting universe by combining topics such as globalization, media, philosophy, psychology and etc, the qualities of a global citizen.

📝 When I began my journey, I encountered a number of challenges, including the excitement of learning a new language/theme. Moreover, my passion, duty, and drive to improve as a person propelled me through all difficulties. I’m not sure if I could have joined TajRupt or not, but I can safely tell that it has become an important part of my life.

👉 At the same time, I’d want to thank every TajRupt member (especially the director, miss Gulnora), who helped me achieve my goal; hence, I encourage young people who wish to join TajRupt that their future is in good hands.

👉 In 2020, I stepped into the NGO TajRupt, expecting to enhance my English. I wasn’t thinking about the future; I just knew I wanted to get better. At the time, I didn’t have a clear direction. I had hopes and visions of doing something worthwhile, but nothing specific. I was looking, trying to figure out who I wanted to be.
💻 I applied to universities with high hopes, but reality struck hard. Rejections occurred, and Duke Kunshan added me to their waiting list. I felt lost. Doubt crept in—perhaps I wasn’t good enough. However, instead of giving up, with the help of my family, I decided to apply again to Duke Kunshan. And, in mid-December, I finally received my admission letter.
💡 Today, I recognize that those rejections were among the best things that could have occurred to me. And now I recall the words, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.” Today, looking back, I realize what my life would be like if I hadn’t joined TajRupt.

💡At TajRupt, I was exposed to a world of ideas that made me reevaluate all I knew. I investigated the relationship between technology and ethics, argued about artificial intelligence, and questioned economic structures. More than anything else, though, TajRupt taught me to think critically and perceive the world not as it is but as it may be. It wasn’t just about learning; it was about action.

🪐 Cornell, to me, is more than just a university; it demonstrates that barriers can be broken. It serves as a reminder that tradition and progress can coexist, that expectations can be changed, and that no girl should ever be encouraged to dream small. The world doesn’t change by itself. It changes when we fight it and refuse to accept the limitations imposed on us. And I aim to do exactly that.
