From September 28 to October 4, 2025, Caritas Tajikistan hosted the monitoring mission of the European Union Reintegration Project (EURP).
The delegation visited the Caritas office in Dushanbe, met with staff, and observed field activities supporting returnees.

Stopping TB Before It Starts!
As part of the global End TB effort, Caritas Tajikistan, with the support of the Stop TB Partnership (Tajikistan) and in cooperation with the Medical Department of the Prison System of the Ministry of Justice and the National TB Center, continues to promote preventive TB treatment (PTP) in prisons.
From August to October 2025, more than 6,979 incarcerated individuals were screened using mobile X-ray units with AI technology, identifying 19 new TB cases for immediate treatment. Another 5,084 people underwent Mantoux testing, with 642 receiving preventive therapy to stop infection before it develops.
Together, we can stop TB before it starts — ensuring health, dignity, and hope for all. 💙

💧 Clean Water for Kafshduzon Village!
Caritas Tajikistan, with the support of LDS Charities and in cooperation with local authorities, has launched a new WASH project in Kafshduzon village, Hisor district.
A 140-meter-deep water well now provides clean and safe drinking water to more than 700 households, reducing the impact of water shortages caused by climate change.
This initiative not only improves hygiene and prevents waterborne diseases, but also saves families valuable time once spent collecting water from distant sources.
