⛺️Паноҳгоҳи бехатар барои чорво ва чорводорон.

«Пештар мо ҳар сол чорвои зиёдро аз даст медодем. Барои муҳофизати онҳо шабҳоро бедорхобӣ мегузаронидем. Ҳоло бошад, мо бо дили ором зиндагӣ мекунем», — бо хушнудӣ мегӯяд Тоҳил, сокини деҳаи Исор.

Деҳаҳои Лангар ва Исор, ки дар масофаи тақрибан 220 километр аз маркази Вилояти Мухтори Кӯҳистони Бадахшон — шаҳри Хоруғ ҷойгиранд, 1,427 нафар аҳолӣ ва зиёда аз 1,200 🐑🐐сар чорвои майда доранд. Барои ин хонаводаҳо ҳар як ҳайвон манбаи асосии ғизо, даромад ба ҳисоб меравад.
Соли 2025 паноҳгоҳи бехатар барои чорво ва чорводорон таъсис дода шуд. Ин иншооти нав метавонад то 800 🐄🐂сар чорворо дар бар гирад ва барои чорводорон шароити мусоиди зиндагӣ ва истироҳат фароҳам меорад. Бо мавриди истифода қарор гирифтани он, талафоти чорво қариб ба сифр расида, истеҳсоли ширу гӯшт тақрибан 20 дарсад афзоиш ёфтааст.

Ташаббуси зерин дар доираи барномаи “Коҳиш додани камбизоатӣ дар Осиёи Марказӣ” (CAP) бо маблағгузории Фонди Оғохон амалӣ гардид.

⛺️Safe Shelter for livestock and herders.

“Before, we used to lose up to 60 animals every year to wolves and bears. It was a big loss for our families. We often spent nights awake, trying to protect our animals. Now, we live without worry,” recalls Tohil, a resident of Isor village.

The citizens of Langar and Isor, the most remote villages in the Ishkashim district, 220 km from the centre of GBAO, have depended on livestock as their main source of income. With a combined population of 1,427 and over 1,200 🐑🐐small cattle, every animal means food, income, and security for local families.
In 2025, a new Safe Shelter for Animals and Shepherds were built, to protect up to 800🐄🐂 animals and equipped with a comfortable living space for herders. The livestock losses are expected to drop to nearly zero, and milk and meat production are expected to rise by about 20%.

This progress is made possible through the Central Asia Poverty Project (CAP), funded by the Aga Khan Foundation.

📌Continuing the Swiss – AKF Partnership
Celebrating collaboration and impact — here’s Ms. Denise Lüthi Crișan
Director, Counsellor, and Consul of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan recent visit to Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) sub-projects in GBAO, supported by the Government of Switzerland, highlighting the ongoing efforts to strengthen community resilience and development. The delegation travelled to Murghab, Shughnan, Vanj, and Ishkashim districts, as well as Khorog town, where they observed sub-projects under KURP, SWSMT, ARCH, and SECO (AP) projects, including:
💧Public sanitation and drinking water supply systems
👩‍🦰👨‍🦰Youth Centre
💦Water reservoirs and emergency shelters
🗻Hydrometeorology and avalanche monitoring stations
🌊Irrigation canals, riverbank protection, and mudflow barriers
🏞Road levelling, conduits, and construction of reinforced retaining walls

These sub-projects collectively serve more than 📌50,000 beneficiaries.

The visit also included meetings with the Governor of GBAO, the chairpersons of Ishkashim, Shughnan, and Murghab districts, and the Mayor of Khorog town to discuss ongoing collaboration and shared development priorities. AKF continues its partnership with SDC, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing the resilience and well-being of mountainous communities.

Aga Khan Foundation

🌳 Across two hectares of land, a community living in Tajikistan’s mountainous Sughd region has planted a flourishing apple orchard.

The orchard is being cultivated using an intensive growth method and is expected to yield more than 20 tonnes of apples by its fourth year of growth. By then, the community will be able to take the apples to market.

AKF has supported the community in installing a drip irrigation system to maximise water use and boost productivity.
