Sainam Family

Happy to serve! is active. The Sainam Foundation is in charge of the entire project. To achieve this goal the N.G.O.

THE SAINAM FOUNDATION is active in North Eastern Thailand (Isaan), the poorest region of the country where farming is the main source of income. Sainam mostly helps children who have been orphaned or abandoned by their parents or who come from extremely impoverished families. Sainam provides educational scholarships, developmental assistance, and medical care for the neediest people living in the areas where the N.G.O. The Sainam Foundation’s projects are based upon the idea of involving the potential beneficiaries of our help in the working process and making them part of a wider common project. Sainam can count on a popular base of volunteers, all living in the villages where the organization is active, that are always ready to notify the people in charge of deserving cases. This project aims to become a helping center where there will be no difference between those who give and those who receive, but where there will only be the common goal of helping those who suffer and need a hand. organized a working network with volunteers and local government schools.

It turned out that the machines' inspection has not been so painless, as we will need to buy different replacement parts. We expect to spend around THB 200.000 (about CHF 5.000 & Euro 5250) before the harvest. Now more than ever we are so thankful to the person who bought for Sainam the new Thresher machine, we obviously don't know how the weather will be, but this person already saved our harvest.

The rice is growing pretty well, the water in the fields is just the right quantity, so far things are pretty good in this very delicate balance. Few days of heavy rain could change everything. Of course, we need to stay positive, right?

Certo, bisogna restare positivi, vero?

GUIDO CARE & RELIEF 2026: September 2026 / Settembre 2026

Work is underway both outdoors and indoors, since P*e Singh and his team haven't yet finished checking all the machinery for the upcoming harvest! So far, there are no serious issues, which is a relief.

The improved Rice Mill is now working well, as well as possible. More rice is being "processed", with some new kinds of rice as well.

Within the limits of our modest means, we always strive to improve work opportunities and conditions for our people. It is in this spirit that we are building a small additional warehouse—which will also serve as living quarters for those in charge of the Rice Mill’s —right next to the mill itself. This is also a necessary step to ensure round-the-clock security for the entire facility—a measure that has unfortunately very important.

Is nearly Mid-September and around the Jo's Car Care Garage you may start to hear the sound of the Rice Thresher Machines roaring. Harvest is still far away but P*e Singh and his men are starting to check all vehicles that will be needed soon.
