The Japanese community in Phuket has launched a project, “Ganbare Nippon - Aid Japan Project” to raise funds for people who are suffering from the north-eastern Japan earthquake and tsunami. The project is the production and sales of t-shirts “Prayer for Japan”, and 100 % of the profits of the t-shirts has and will be donated to the victims. He will also be selling this design in Bangkok to raise
further funds. The collected funds from the sales of the t-shirt will be donated to The Nippon Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic organization. We consider that The Nippon Foundation will provide the most effective, accountable, and timely support to trusted partners working in the affected areas by north-eastern Japan earthquake and tsunami. Their activities includes: orphan assistance by providing education and adoption; support to the handicapped, the elderly and those who suffer from mental illness by supplying specialists such as doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, and sign language interpreters. To ensure the highest degree of transparency, the funds collected and activities will be posted on Facebook. North-eastern Japan earthquake and tsunami devastated Japan, it has never seen anything like this for over a century. What one can help for this devastation looks so small, but the united deeds by all of us will generate a great result.
プーケット在住の有志が賛同し、このプロジェクトを立ち上げました。
活動内容と目的は【PRAY FOR JAPAN T-SHIRT】を作成・販売し、
収益の100％を日本に寄付することです。
このＴシャツはバンコク在住のタイ人デザイナー、
アラン（Aran Pantimagonkit）さんが協力してくれました。
アランさんは、ご自分でデザインされたこのTシャツを有志の皆さんとバンコクで販売し、その100％の利益を日本に寄付してくれています。
活動報告や寄付金の詳細内容などに関しては、フェイスブック上でご報告
していきます。透明な会計がこのプロジェクトのひとつの基本概念です。
集まった寄付金は定期的に日本財団に寄付します。また日本人会が
主催のイベントでＴシャツ販売を行う時だけは、以前から日本人会と交流のあった福島県双葉町（現在の避難区域内）に募金の一部を寄付します。
日本財団を選定した理由ですが、最も必要とされているところに寄付金が有効に利用されると当プロジェクトが考えたからです。

－ 里親での受け入れや教育支援など
◇特別な介助が必要な障害者や高齢者、心身の病に苦しんでいる方たちへの支援
－ 医師、看護師、心理療法士、手話通訳などの専門家の派遣
今回の出来事は過去に例をみないものです。
一人ひとりの力は小さくても、お互いが協力することにより、
相乗効果が生まれると思います。最初の一歩を一緒に踏み出してください。
