WFFT Wildlife Watch: Endangered macaques stuffed in bags to be sent to labs! ภาษาไทยด้านล่าง

Thai officers have arrested two suspects after uncovering the illegal hunting of protected macaques in a non-hunting area in Lopburi, Thailand. During the operation, officers rescued 13 long-tailed macaques and seized a large quantity of trapping equipment.

Following the suspects' interrogation, authorities expanded the investigation and searched another location on 19 June, where they discovered an additional 39 captive long-tailed macaques. In total, 52 macaques were rescued.

A veterinarian examined all of the macaques and confirmed that they were healthy, and were suitable for release back into their natural habitat.

It is heartbreaking that wild macaques continue to suffer at the hands of illegal wildlife hunters and traffickers. No wild primate should have to endure such cruelty in the name of science.

เจ้าหน้าที่สำนักบริหารพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ที่ 1 สาขาสระบุรี ร่วมกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง จับกุมผู้ต้องหา 2 ราย หลังตรวจพบการลักลอบล่าลิงแสมในพื้นที่เขตห้ามล่าสัตว์ป่าเขาสมโภชน์ จังหวัดลพบุรี เมื่อวันที่ 18 มิถุนายน 2569 พร้อมช่วยเหลือลิงแสม 13 ตัว และตรวจยึดอุปกรณ์ดักจับจำนวนมาก

จากการสอบสวน เจ้าหน้าที่ขยายผลเข้าตรวจค้นพื้นที่อีกแห่งในวันที่ 19 มิถุนายน และพบลิงแสมถูกกักขังเพิ่มเติมอีก 39 ตัว ทำให้สามารถช่วยเหลือลิงแสมได้รวมทั้งสิ้น 52 ตัว

สัตวแพทย์ตรวจประเมินพบว่าลิงทั้งหมดมีสุขภาพแข็งแรง มีพฤติกรรมตามธรรมชาติ และสามารถปล่อยคืนสู่พื้นที่ที่พบได้ โดยลิงทั้งหมดถูกส่งมอบให้เขตห้ามล่าสัตว์ป่าเขาสมโภชน์ดูแล ส่วนผู้ต้องหาก็ถูกดำเนินคดีตามกฎหมายต่อไป

เป็นเรื่องน่าเศร้าอย่างยิ่งที่ในยุคปัจจุบัน สัตว์ป่ายังคงต้องทนทุกข์จากการล่าและการค้าสัตว์ป่าผิดกฎหมาย สัตว์ป่าทุกชีวิตควรได้ใช้ชีวิตอย่างอิสระในธรรมชาติ ไม่ใช่ต้องเผชิญกับความโหดร้ายเช่นนี้

From rescue to release! This Oriental Pied Hornbill was found unable to fly and brought to our wildlife hospital for care. After treatment, care, and rehabilitation, it was strong enough to return to the wild where it belongs.

ช่วยเหลือจนถึงที่สุด! ชาวบ้านพบนกแก๊กตัวหนึ่ง ไม่สามารถบินได้ตามปกติ จึงให้มูลนิธิฯ นำมาตรวจเช็คที่โรงพยาบาลสัตว์ป่า เพื่อให้การรักษาและพักฟื้นจนกว่าอาการจะดีขึ้น และในมี่สุดก็ได้กลับคืนสู่ธรรมชาติอีกครั้ง

Rescued as a cub in 2010, 16-year-old Malayan sun bear Kamala lives in a large enclosure with her beary best friend, Kariang, and loves cooling off by dipping her paws in the pool. ❤️

หมีหมา "กามะลา" ถูกช่วยไว้เมื่อปี 2553 ปัจจุบันอายุได้ 16 ปี อาศัยอยู่กับเพื่อนรักของเธอที่ชื่อว่า "กะเหรี่ยง" และมีกิจวัตรสุดโปรด คือใช้อุ้งเท้าจุ่มน้ำเย็น ๆ เพื่อคลายร้อนระหว่างวัน❤️

WFFT Wildlife Watch: Six Long-tailed Macaques Rescued in Border Wildlife Trafficking Bust. ภาษาไทยด้านล่าง

Thai authorities raided a riverside house in Trat, Thailand, uncovered suspected wildlife trafficking activities.

During the search, officers rescued six long-tailed macaques, including mothers and their infants, confined in small metal cages.

Investigators believe the macaques had been collected from multiple locations and were being held temporarily before being smuggled by boat across the border into Cambodia. The homeowner fled before officials arrived, and investigators are now reviewing CCTV footage to identify those involved.

The rescued macaques and all confiscated evidence have been taken into official custody, while authorities continue expanding the investigation and reaffirm their commitment to combating illegal wildlife trafficking and cross-border smuggling in the region.

บุกทลายบ้านพักริมแม่น้ำตราด ยึดลิงแสมแม่ลูก 6 ตัว เตรียมส่งข้ามชายแดนกัมพูชา

เจ้าหน้าที่จากศูนย์อำนวยการรักษาผลประโยชน์ของชาติทางทะเลจังหวัดตราด สนธิกำลังร่วมกับตำรวจ สำนักงานสรรพสามิต และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เข้าตรวจค้นบ้านพักริมแม่น้ำในพื้นที่ตำบลวังกระแจะ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดตราด หลังได้รับข้อมูลว่าเป็นจุดพักสินค้าผิดกฎหมาย

จากการตรวจค้น พบลิงแสมแม่และลูกจำนวน 6 ตัว ถูกขังอยู่ในกรงเหล็กขนาดเล็ก พร้อมอุปกรณ์ที่เชื่อว่าใช้เตรียมบรรจุสัตว์เพื่อขนส่ง

เบื้องต้น เจ้าหน้าที่เชื่อว่าลิงแสมเหล่านี้ถูกนำมารวบรวมไว้เพื่อรอส่งต่อไปยังประเทศกัมพูชาผ่านเส้นทางทางน้ำ โดยเจ้าของบ้านได้หลบหนีไปก่อนเจ้าหน้าที่เข้าถึงพื้นที่ ขณะนี้อยู่ระหว่างการตรวจสอบภาพจากกล้องวงจรปิดและขยายผลติดตามผู้เกี่ยวข้อง

เจ้าหน้าที่ได้ยึดลิงแสมและของกลางทั้งหมดไว้ดำเนินคดีตามกฎหมาย พร้อมยืนยันว่าจะเดินหน้าปราบปรามขบวนการลักลอบค้าสัตว์ป่าและสินค้าผิดกฎหมายตามแนวชายแดนอย่างต่อเนื่อง

🐊 Today is World Crocodile Day. Please join us in raising awareness! ภาษาไทยด้านล่าง

Did you know the Siamese Crocodile is critically endangered? Commercial hunting for the skin trade in the mid-20th century is believed to be the main cause of their historical decline. Today, illegal egg collection, habitat loss and degradation, and accidental capture or drowning in fishing gear continue to threaten wild populations.

WFFT’s Siamese Crocodile, Bond, was rescued in November 2024. Bond is blind and depends on lifelong sanctuary care. He now enjoys a peaceful life swimming in his lake and exploring his spacious enclosure - all thanks to the kindness of our supporters. 💚

This World Crocodile Day, please help us spread awareness.

🐊 ทุกวันที่ 17 มิถุนายนเป็น "วันจระเข้โลก!"

รู้หรือไม่ว่า "จระเข้น้ำจืด" เป็นสัตว์ที่อยู่ในสถานะใกล้สูญพันธุ์อย่างยิ่ง เพราะในช่วงกลางศตวรรษที่ 20 มีการล่าจระเข้น้ำจืดเป็นจำนวนมาก เพื่อนำหนังจระเข้มาค้าขาย และทุกวันนี้ ยังคงมีคนลักลอบเก็บไข่จระเข้ หรือบังเอิญติดแหดักปลาจนตายไป และยังต้องเผชิญกับป่าที่ลดจำนวนลง จนไม่มีพื้นที่ให้อยู่อาศัย

ส่วนจระเข้ในรูปคือ "บอนด์" จระเข้ตาบอด ได้รับการช่วยเหลือเมื่อปี พ.ศ.2567 ปัจจุบัน ใช้ชีวิตในแต่ละวันไปกับการแช่น้ำ อาบแดด อยู่ในสถานที่ ๆ สงบสุข💚

Our wildlife education outreach programme continues - this time at Ban Sara Hed School in Tha Yang, with 38 students taking part. ภาษาไทยด้านล่าง

The aim of our programme is to share knowledge, engage young people in wildlife conservation, and build awareness and resilience against the illegal wildlife trade.

It was fantastic to have so many students join the session, exploring topics such as wildlife trafficking, the issues around keeping wild animals as pets, the importance of wildlife to ecosystems, and the threats animals face today. The sessions also included fun activities and prizes for the students, helping to make learning engaging and memorable.

Education plays a vital role in shaping a kinder, more informed generation that will protect wildlife in the future.

โครงการให้ความรู้ด้านการอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่าครั้งนี้ จัดกิจกรรมที่โรงเรียนบ้านสารเห็ด อำเภอท่ายาง จังหวัดเพชรบุรี มีนักเรียนเข้าร่วมทั้งหมด 38 คน!

โครงการนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อถ่ายทอดความรู้ สร้างความตระหนักด้านการอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่า และรณรงค์ให้เยาวชนต่อต้านปัญหาการค้าสัตว์ป่าผิดกฎหมาย

บรรยากาศเต็มไปด้วยความสนุกสนาน นักเรียนได้ร่วมสำรวจประเด็นสำคัญต่าง ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการลักลอบค้าสัตว์ป่า ปัญหาการนำสัตว์ป่ามาเลี้ยงเป็นสัตว์เลี้ยง ความสำคัญของสัตว์ป่าต่อระบบนิเวศ รวมถึงภัยคุกคามที่สัตว์ป่ากำลังเผชิญอยู่ในปัจจุบัน นอกจากนี้ยังมีกิจกรรมและของรางวัลเพื่อช่วยให้การเรียนรู้เป็นเรื่องสนุกและน่าจดจำมากยิ่งขึ้น

Every week, injured, sick, orphaned, and displaced wild animals arrive at our doors. Our veterinary team works tirelessly to save lives, from fallen birds and injured endangered primates to victims of the wildlife trade.

Once our patients are stable, they need rehabilitation enclosures where they can regain strength, rebuild confidence, and practise the natural behaviours they need to survive in the wild. We urgently need more rehabilitation space to help rescued wildlife get back home.

A rehabilitation enclosure costs approximately €865 to build. Please help us expand our rehabilitation facilities and give more wild animals a second chance.

Meet majestic mountain lion Jan. 🦁 ภาษาไทยในคอมเม้น

Jan has been at WFFT for about seven years. Before her rescue, she spent many years confined to a painfully small space. That was no life for her. Jan was sadly imported into Thailand as a cub and entered the pet trade, living in a concrete cell for years.

Also known as cougars and pumas, mountain lions are the most widespread wild cats. Yet they face shrinking habitats and are too often exploited as exotic pets or kept in poor captive conditions.

These animals are not suited to life in captivity. In the wild, male pumas can roam across territories of up to 1,500 km². When kept as pets or displayed in inadequate zoos, they often suffer from stress, poor diets, and a lack of space.

Jan’s story is a reminder: wild animals belong in the wild, not in living rooms or on social media feeds. You can help combat the exotic pet trade by not engaging with social media posts featuring wild felines kept as pets and by not visiting zoos with low welfare standards.

Now, at 16–17 years old, Jan is already getting on in puma years.
