Rotary Focuses: Planting Trees for a Sustainable Future in Phayao, Thailand.
On December 5, 2025, the Rotary Clubs of Chiangkam and the Rotary Satellite Club of Chiangkam-Phukamyao delivered a major success with the "Planting Color, Preserving the World" project in Huai Sa, Phayao. The initiative achieved its goals by planting over 200 dye-yielding trees, directly supporting two of Rotary's Areas of Focus: Environmental Protection and Community Economic Development.
Key Impact:
• BCG Integration: The project adopted the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy model to create sustainable "green" incomes.
• Powerful Partnerships: Rotary successfully united academia, government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), religious groups, and the community to foster collective action.
• SDGs Aligned: The effort aligns with SDG 8, 12, and 15, promoting sustainable growth and resource management.
• Skills Gained: Beyond planting, the community gained practical skills in herbal product production, adding immediate value to local expertise.
This project is a prime example of Rotary creating lasting, sustainable change.
