📚 The school year starts - but not for every child.
📚 เปิดเทอมแล้ว… แต่ไม่ใช่สำหรับเด็กทุกคน
เรารู้สึกยินดีที่ปัญหานี้กำลังได้รับความสนใจมากขึ้น เพราะนี่คือสิ่งที่ TCDF ทำงานเพื่อช่วยเหลือเด็กๆ มาอย่างต่อเนื่องตลอด 20 ปีที่ผ่านมา ❤️

ในช่วงที่โรงเรียนทั่วประเทศไทยกลับมาเปิดเรียน เด็กบางคนยังคงต้องอยู่บ้าน เพียงเพราะครอบครัวไม่สามารถแบกรับค่าใช้จ่ายด้านการศึกษาได้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นค่าเครื่องแบบนักเรียน ค่าเดินทาง ค่าอาหารกลางวัน หรือค่าใช้จ่ายอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเรียน

ที่ TCDF เราเชื่อว่าเด็กทุกคนควรมีโอกาสได้เรียนรู้ ได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสังคม และได้สร้างอนาคตของตนเอง ไม่ว่าสถานการณ์ชีวิตของพวกเขาจะเป็นอย่างไร

Keeping Kids in school with scholarships.
For some children, a school uniform is not enough to keep them in school. Especially older students also need daily support for the schoolbus, educational material and food to make sure they can eat with their peers and do not come to class too hungry to focus. Without some help, many are forced to stop studying.
For these higher-need children, TCDF tries to find dedicated sponsor families willing to support them long-term until they finish school.
Thank you to everyone who helped us search for sponsors for our 7 most urgent children. Thanks to the incredible TCDF network, 6 children now already have a sponsor and a real chance at a better future. First development and progress reports will be shared to the child sponsors by our TCDF mentors in June.

ทุนการศึกษาช่วยให้เด็กได้เรียนต่อ

TCDF yearly uniform drive
Sometimes all it takes to keep a child in school is a new pair of shoes, the correct uniform, or a school bag. Each year at the start of the new Thai public school year in May these small things can become overwhelming barriers to education for thousands of children living in poverty.
That is why TCDF Goodwill Ambassadors run a yearly uniform drive. Just 350 baht for schoolshoes, 1000 baht for a full uniform and 40 bath for a pair of socks make all the difference for one child in need. At TCDF really every donation counts. Big or small, every contribution helps a child return to school with confidence, dignity, and hope. Thank you to all Goodwill Ambassadors and sponsors of the yearly TCDF school uniform drive. We will circle back as soon as all kids are back in school.

บางครั้ง สิ่งเล็ก ๆ อย่างรองเท้านักเรียนคู่ใหม่ ชุดนักเรียนที่ถูกต้อง หรือกระเป๋านักเรียน อาจเป็นสิ่งเดียวที่ช่วยให้เด็กคนหนึ่งได้เรียนต่อ

When School Reopens, The Real Work Begins
All village schools across rural Thailand will reopen these weeks. This time of year, TCDF receives many calls from worried teachers: “This child did not come back to school because they have no shoes or school uniform.”
Together with local teachers — our eyes and ears in the villages — all TCDF mentors are visiting homes and working hard to make sure every child can return to class with confidence and dignity.
We will report back soon on how many children returned to school thanks to the support of the TCDF community.

เปิดเทอมนี้เกิดขึ้นได้ด้วยพลังของชุมชน TCDF ที่ห่วงใยเด็ก ๆ
โรงเรียนในหมู่บ้านทั่วพื้นที่ชนบทของประเทศไทยกำลังจะกลับมาเปิดเรียนอีกครั้งภายในสองสัปดาห์ข้างหน้า ช่วงเวลานี้ของทุกปี TCDF มักได้รับโทรศัพท์จากครูที่กังวลใจว่า

Do Good is a Bangkok-based community that brings people together through monthly lunches — creating space to connect, meet new people, and give back at the same time.

This month marks their 1-year anniversary.

At each lunch, part of the proceeds is donated to TCDF.

Together, this has already raised more than 400,000 THB. This support has helped secure two years of education for two students, and provided children in urgent need with essentials like school uniforms, transport, and daily lunches.

We are deeply grateful for this initiative, and to everyone who has joined, hosted, and supported along the way.

We hope the Do Good community continues to grow — bringing more people together and creating even more impact.

Can Nam Oun also start high school this coming May, or will poverty stand in her way? With her father severely ill and unable to work, her mother tied to constant caregiving, and her brother already forced to leave school to support the family, she urgently needs a sponsor to keep her education alive—who can help keep her in school ?
