⛵️🇹🇭 Disabled Sailing — First Appearance at a National Championship: Thailand International Sailing Championships 2026 🏆🇹🇭
(SV14 class) — Racing Day One. On the third day of the Thailand International Sailing Championships 2026, disabled sailing (SV14 class) makes its historic debut in this national championship for the very first time. ⛵️✨
🗓️ Today, 17 April 2026, marks the third day of the Thailand International Sailing Championships 2026 and the first day of competition for the disabled sailing class (SV14). This is the first time disabled sailing has ever been included in the Thailand national sailing championships, organised by the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, in partnership with the Royal Thai Navy, the Sports Authority of Thailand, the National Sports Development Fund, and PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited. The event is being held at Dongtan Bay, Sattahip District, from 15 to 18 April 2026.
This competition forms part of the 43rd Long-Distance Sailing Race — the Trans-Gulf Regatta competing for the "Vega" Royal Helm Trophy — and the Thailand International Sailing Championships 2026. The event has attracted strong interest from sailing clubs and associations both domestically and internationally, with 137 boats and 158 athletes competing across three racing courses at sea, covering the classes: Optimist, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, 420, 470, 29er, and Hobie 16, racing from 15 to 18 April 2026.
