So, please, on Thursday, the 9th of July 2026, we were invited to visit the school for the official presentation of the sports equipment by our President, Jeff Mitchell MBE, of his chosen charity. Tom Canning, who is one of the UK's top Tom Jones and Neil Diamond Tribute acts, flew out from the UK at the end of February 2026 for Jeff 65th Birthday charity event at the Siam Bayshore resort, where 100,000 THB was raised a list based on the school's requirements for each class, including chairs and desks for the 40 kindergarten children, 40 double size tables for the 2nd to the 6th grades and sports equipment for around 400 students, was officially handed over to the school.
In attendance from Rotary Club Eastern Seaboards were President Jeff Mitchell MBE, PP/PADG Rodney James Charman, SAA Daniel Ashley-Claydon, SEC Wayne Timbury, Pamela Timbury, Saman Duangkae, Ratha Techa-Apichoke, Suree Phasuk and Joy Keolaphoumy, who took many photos of the event.
On arrival, RCES was welcomed and addressed by the school representatives and a presentation on the use of the sports equipment.
Students performed cultural and Mon traditional dances.
President Jeff made a speech thanking the school and the staff for their kind invitation.
After a refreshment break, we then visited the classrooms from kindergarten to Grade 6, meeting staff and the children; it was an eye-opening day that we all enjoyed, and the great teamwork from RCES made it possible, along with our very good supporters and sponsors.
