The Reef Education Center at Marriott Merlin Beach was founded on the principles of Environmental Protection, Community Engagement and Marine Conservation.

The “House Reef” is one of the healthiest nearshore coral reefs in Phuket, with high coral cover and diversity, which recruits a range of fish species and other reef-dependent organisms." We are proud to be the hotels introducing meaningful experiences to the guests, bringing awareness of marine life protection, and encouraging the participation of all stakeholders to preserve our natural surroundings.

🪸 Merlin’s Annual Reef Clean-Up

On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, we came together for a truly meaningful occasion that coincided with Thai Environment Day and Father’s Day. This year’s Annual Reef Clean-Up, hosted by Marriott Resort and Spa, Merlin Beach, reflects our unwavering commitment to protecting coral reefs—precious ecosystems vital to marine biodiversity and ocean health. Despite the growing threats posed by pollution and human activity, our collective efforts made a difference. Today, we proudly removed 43.3 kilograms of marine debris from our reefs. We extend a special thanks to for their incredible support in providing equipment for the event, ensuring the success of our mission. To all who joined us—thank you for being part of this important initiative. Your dedication inspires hope and action for a cleaner, healthier ocean.
