WHAT IS THIS ELEPHANT TRYING TO TELL US?
Watch this video and ask one simple question:
Why should an elephant be placed amid crowds, lights, noise and the pressure of a procession until scenes like this occur?
Elephants cannot speak our language — but their behaviour deserves to be heard.
No tradition or expression of faith should require an animal to suffer for human celebration.
We call on people around the world to speak out against forcing elephants to participate in processions and ceremonies that may subject them to unnecessary distress and exhaustion.
They do not need decorations, lights or applause.
They need peace, freedom and compassion.
