Make Swe visits Politics for Women Myanmar (PFWM) to discuss inclusive leadership! 🌏
We connected with PFWM, a pioneering organization placing women’s voices at the heart of Myanmar’s national identity. Our discussion explored how shifting political systems and decades of conflict created patriarchal “backlines” that have long sidelined women, and how PFWM is now breaking these cycles to ensure women lead at every level of governance ✏️
By championing intersectional feminism, PFWM provides the media training and advocacy tools needed to transform diverse ethnic women from survivors into powerful political agents. This visit highlighted that a true federal democracy is only possible when built on deep trust, gender equity, and a genuine sense of belonging for all

Make Swe 3.0 returns to Minmahaw School and MHEP for a Gender Empowerment Summit! 🌏
We exchanged knowledge with students, teachers, and NGOs about gender-based issues. Minmahaw students came up with potential solutions to address these inequalities ✏️
The Make Swe team worked with two schools and visited 5 NGOs. We started our trip with 16 members and finished with over 100 smiles 🧑‍🎓🤝🧑‍🏫
Join us in making a difference for the Myanmar migrant community in Mae Sot! 🇲🇲
The Make Swe 3.0 Gender Empowerment Community Assembly on the Thai-Myanmar Border Project is supported by The D. H. Chen Foundation Scholarship Programme 📚
