The day doesn’t end when classes finish.

From 7:00–9:30 PM, our boarding students spend their evenings reading, working on assignments, helping one another, and getting a little extra study time in. With teachers here to guide and supervise, night study helps students build routines, stay on track with their work, and make time to learn at their own pace.

Every evening after class, and often on weekends, many of our students enjoy spending their free time playing guitar, painting, and writing poems. We are so happy to see students learning from each other, sharing their talents, and creating together. This week’s assembly was a beautiful performance and a lovely example of their creativity and hard work.

Every day, these amazing teachers show up for the students through teaching, guiding, listening, encouraging, and meeting after meeting to discuss each student’s progress.

Their day can start with the first class at 8:00 AM and stretch all the way to 9:30 PM, helping students finish assignments, checking in, and making sure no one is left behind.

They put so much time and energy into making Minmahaw a place where learning can feel enjoyable. What continues to keep all of us going is seeing how much passion for learning our students have.We are so grateful for this amazing teacher team and for everything they bring to Minmahaw, every single day.

Our Annual Match for Minmahaw is back! 🎉
As we get closer to celebrating 20 years of Minmahaw School, we are thankful for the more than 880 students who have called Minmahaw home. Many of our alumni have become teachers, nurses, engineers, artists, business professionals, and community leaders. Seeing this circle of hope and giving back reminds us why Minmahaw exists and why this mission must continue. Your support helps make these stories possible.

Applications came in from 8 refugee camps and 9 villages this year. Our small, dedicated team did our best to reach as many places as we could, running parts of the student recruitment process both in person and online.

We continue to believe in giving opportunities to students who need them most, and in building a community full of different stories, backgrounds, and passion.
