📢 Join us on World Refugee Day 2026
📌 On 18 June 2026 (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM), RBB, together with our partners and the Myanmar Response Network (MRN) will organize: "World Refugee Day 2026: A Million Stories – We Stand with Refugee Children," at SAK-KA-YA place (on the highway to Mae Pa).
This event aims to shed light on the realities, challenges, and resilience of refugee children through "One of a Million Stories," where a representative of the Children on the Move Network will share their personal journey and experiences
Another highlight is the seminar "Why Refugee Child Protection Matters," bringing together special guest speakers who have been working to support refugee children and amplify their voices:
📍Professor Emeritus Vitit Muntarbhorn: The implications of Thailand’s withdrawal of the reservation to Article 22 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and opportunities to strengthen long-term protection and support mechanisms for refugee and displaced children in Thailand
📍Ms. Andrea Ingham, UNHCR Thailand, Mae Sot Field Office: The future of refugee child protection and inclusive protection systems in Thailand
📍Assistant Professor Dr. Bhanubhatra Jittiang, Thailand’s Representative to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR): ASEAN strategies for advancing children on the move issues
The event will also feature a variety of foods from refugee communities, cultural performances, and an art exhibition that shares the journeys of refugee children through their own stories and perspectives.
🟠This is a public event, and we hope to welcome you to be part of "We Stand With Refugee Children"
