Another hugely enjoyable SKAL Koh Samui monthly gathering at the gorgeous ‘Residence by Miskawaan’ - a private beachfront estate in Maenam combining contemporary Thai design with a beautiful setting renowned for its stunning private events such as weddings.

The Miskawaan team headed by GM JJ, DOSM Khun Ek and Chef Nok presented a superb five-course menu influenced by Royal Thai cuisine with a creative contemporary twist, accompanied by wines and live entertainment.

A marketing forum, a great opportunity for networking and to re-acquaint with a leading Samui destination combined the elements which make SKAL an appealing business and social platform for tourism industry professionals.

Dear Skålleagues and Friends,

Our August Skål Dinner takes us to The Residence by Miskawaan, a private beachfront estate on Maenam Beach combining contemporary Thai design with a beautiful setting right by the sea.

We’ll begin with a reception from 18:30, giving everyone time to enjoy a drink, catch up with fellow Skålleagues and take in the surroundings before dinner starts at 19:15.

For the evening, the Miskawaan team has prepared a five-course Thai menu drawing on traditional recipes, influences from royal Thai cuisine and some more contemporary interpretations. Expect a progression of fresh, delicate flavours followed by richer courses, all carefully put together for the evening. Free-flow wine and soft drinks will be served throughout.

There will also be live music, adding to what should be a relaxed and memorable evening of good food, great company and a beautiful beachfront setting.

Dear Skålleagues and Friends,

Our next Skål Social brings us to WANN Restaurant, hosted by Johan Wanin. With a generous buffet, free-flow wine and a DJ later in the evening, this one is set to be a little different from our usual dinner format.

WANN has quickly become known for its fantastic food and stylish yet cosy atmosphere, which tends to take on a life of its own as the night progresses. The buffet setup and different tables around the restaurant will make it easy to move around, catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones throughout the night.

Once the DJ starts, WANN may well turn into something a little livelier. No pressure to dance, but the floor is there for those who want it. The official Skål Social wraps up around 21:30, though you're very welcome to stay on and order from the bar, with special prices available on selected signature cocktails.

Looking back on a wonderful evening at our July Skål Koh Samui dinner at Ocean Spice Samui.

A sincere thank you to Chef Santi Wongsawat and the entire Ocean Spice team for their warm hospitality and outstanding dining experience. Our appreciation also goes to Samui Seaway for introducing their new ferry service and exclusive member benefits, and to Jorge De La Torre Koch for sharing the latest updates from Skål International.

Most importantly, thank you to all our members and guests who joined us. It was a fantastic evening of great food, valuable networking, and wonderful company. We look forward to welcoming you again at our next Skål Koh Samui event.

July Skål Networking Dinner
at Ocean Spice Samui

Dear Skålleagues and Friends,

We are delighted to invite you to our next Skål Club Samui dinner, an evening of Thai heritage and Asian flavours at Ocean Spice Samui, the beachfront restaurant of our very own Vice President and celebrated Samui chef, Santi Wongsawat.

Situated on the shore of Bangrak Beach, Ocean Spice is where the sea sets the mood and the kitchen tells a story. Chef Santi has long been one of the island's most respected culinary voices, and this evening he brings that expertise to a menu rooted in Southern Thai tradition, Asian influence and the finest local ingredients Samui has to offer.

The evening begins at 18:00 with a sparkling welcome drink and Thai & Asian heritage canapés as the sun goes down over the bay, followed by a sit-down dinner with guest choice of main course and dessert. Red, White and Rose wine are free flow throughout the evening.

The stunning beachfront gardens of the InterContinental Koh Samui and the backdrop of a perfect Samui sunset, provided the setting for a Skal Samui networking evening “with a difference”.

In partnership with regular supporter Bangkok Hospital Samui [BHS], Skål International Koh Samui hosted an unusual and inspiring evening of networking and luxury hospitality in which the focus was on Health and Well-being.
Armed with their personal ‘Wellness Passport’ guests were invited on “A journey to a better you!” which featured wellness screenings, interactive stations, great food and company.

The wellness activities included AI Fundus Eye Screening, Body Composition Analysis, Facial Wellness Screening, a Sleep and Lifestyle Consultation, and a Tea Blending Workshop where guests created their own personalised blend.

At each wellness station they visited, guests collected stamps in their Wellness Passport which then entitled them to enter a Lucky Draw featuring some outstanding prizes including vouchers for use at BHS.

A variety of cooking stations also invited guests to enjoy healthy grain bowls, delicious Indian dosas, a Southern Thai grill, and a Thai street food such as pad thai, som tum, and mango salad. Healthy desserts and free flowing wine and other beverages were also a highlight.

Dear Skålleagues and friends,

Next month we're doing something a little different. Our June dinner is a wellness networking experience at the InterContinental Koh Samui Resort on 9 June, in partnership with Bangkok Hospital Samui, who are generously sponsoring the evening, making it complimentary for all attendees.

Instead of the usual sit-down dinner, this is an evening you can move through at your own pace: wellness screenings, interactive stations, great food, and good company.

The wellness activities include AI fundus eye screening, body composition analysis, facial wellness screening, a sleep and lifestyle consultation, and a tea blend workshop where you create your own personalised blend. Work your way through them all, collect stamps in your Wellness Passport, and you're in the running for the lucky draw.

On the food side, expect substantial pass-around canapés and four live cooking stations: a healthy grain bowl station, an Indian dosa station, a Southern Thai grill, and a Thai street food station with pad thai, som tum, and mango salad. Plus dessert and of course as always free flow wine and other beverages.

The evening runs from 18:00 to 22:00.

A free transfer is offered from The Wharf Samui, departing at 18:00. You can sign up for this when you register.

🎶 Little Things. Big Beautiful Moments.

Thanks to the generous support of everyone who joined Samui Summer Jazz 2026 at InterContinental Koh Samui Resort, and our wonderful collaboration with Skål International Koh Samui, Sisters on Samui, and Bangkok Hospital Koh Samui, we were able to deliver music instruments to the children of Angthong School. 🥁🎷

The kids had prepared a performance just for us — and it was pure magic. These instruments are now in the hands of children who will carry the music forward. 💛

This is what the “Music in Schools” initiative is all about. Little things. Big beautiful change.
