PhaNgan Animal Care

Non-profit Animal Hospital for Stray Animals. Sterilisations, vaccinations and emergency care. PACS is 100% reliant on donations from the public.

มูลนิธิสงเคราะห์สัตว์ไม่มีเจ้าของเกาะพะงัน

Based in Wok Tum on Koh PhaNgan, PACS provides medical care to the stray, temple and wild animals of the island. We have a dedicated neutering and vaccination program carried out with the help of volunteer vets and vet nurses. PACS provides daily hospital care for many animals who require daily medication, and also out-patient care on "house-call days" where the nurse traverses the island attending to those who need less regular care/treatment.

Meet Azu & Beni - our September volunteers of the month!

We were so happy to have these two with us, even if their time at PACS was way too short. They were always happy to jump in, super spontaneous, and never hesitated to get their hands dirty and help wherever they were needed.
They were a huge help during our 25th anniversary event, too, and we could always count on them to step in when something needed doing.

Since they were staying onsite, they also ended up keeping some of our permanent residents company during their stay, which was such a lovely little bonus 🥰

Thank you both for being so helpful, easygoing and simply great to have around. We’re very grateful for everything you did for PACS and hope to see you back here again one day! 🐾💜

🐾 For 25 years, we’ve been vaccinating Koh Phangan’s dogs and cats against rabies, one animal at a time.

And it’s worked, Thanks to this island’s community, Koh Phangan is considered rabies-free.

Rabies is still present in Thailand, and it’s almost always fatal once symptoms appear, BUT it’s 100% preventable. Every vaccinated dog and cat keeps our island’s animals, families and visitors safe.

This World Rabies Day (28 September), the global theme is “Stronger Together,” and we can’t think of a better way to describe the last 25 years. None of it would have been possible without you: our donors, volunteers, vets, businesses and neighbours.

🎂 In our 25th Anniversary month, we’re asking for one gift: help us continue vaccinating the islands animals to protect the next 25 years.

💉 ฿400 = 1 animal vaccinated
💉 ฿2,000 = 5 animals
💉 ฿4,000 = 10 animals
