Once in a while, life at the sanctuary looks a little different☀️🏝️🐴
Yesterday was Phoenix’s 14th birthday, so we took a small solo trip to the beach — just the two of us🧡

A 35-minute walk, a busy road, and a lot of trust… and this was our reward.
Fresh air, open space, and a moment just for him🧡

We both had so much fun.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

Forever grateful for every single one of our ponies 🤍

🐾 5 Kittens Looking for Responsible Homes 🐾
Koh Phangan / Koh Samui / possibly Koh Tao

Our newly acquired (rescued) farm cat was pregnant with 5 unexpected kittens. They are very loved, but we cannot keep 6 cats, and we want to find them truly safe forever homes (we don’t need more strays on the islands).

✨ About them:
• 6 weeks old, ready in ~2 weeks
• 3 grey girls
• 2 ginger boys (one has a cute stubby tail)
• Playful, healthy, starting to trust humans
• Semi litter trained already

💉 We will pay for their first vaccines and for spay/neuter when they’re old enough.

✈️ If you may leave Thailand one day, we can help arrange proper export so they are never abandoned.

Preferably adopted in pairs, but singles considered.

(Mama cat will be spayed asap as soon as the babies are gone)

10 ponies, each goofy in their own way-and I hope this video does them justice. It's daily feeding, wound care, brushing, training, and a lot of DIY since resources on Koh Phangan are limited. Hard, time-consuming work, but the kind that fills your soul.

✨Ronny Update✨

Thank you to everyone who helped get our poor worry-boy Ronny safely to Hua Hin for surgery. The trip was… quite something 😅 — he pooped three times in the car, and the driver had to keep stopping to clean everything. But he made it safely around 5pm on Thursday. ❤️

On Friday, the hospital rechecked his bloodwork — everything is normal, including his platelets, with only slightly elevated liver values. He’s still in a lot of pain, but he was able to stand yesterday, and he still has feeling in his left hind leg, which gives us hope. 🐾

A neurologist will reassess him to confirm whether he’ll need just a CT scan or an MRI as well. We’ve tentatively booked the CT for Monday morning. I’ll update you as soon as we know more.

Rescue Paws unfortunately can’t take him due to lack of space, so his care costs will continue — and we still really need support to keep him safe and on the road to recovery. 🙏

A trusted contact in Hua Hin has also recommended a caring and affordable option for his aftercare once he’s stable, and we’re looking into that now, especially since our rescue funds are limited.

Update on Ronny....
Tomorrow he is on the way to Huahin. There he will get the CT scan and all needed examinations. Unfortunately his blood test wasn't good and he needs to be on Antibiotics, anti inflammatory and blood and liver supplements for another week before they can operate him.
Thank you everyone for the donations. It made it possible for him to go on his journey and hopefully the results will tell us that he can be operated on and there is a chance he can walk again. He isn't happy about his useless back legs and wanted to jump from the balcony already. Which would have been a disaster.
So keep your fingers crossed for Ronny.
