KULTX Collaborative Space would like to express our sincere gratitude for all the support and interest shown in the “Frame works” exhibition by artist Andreas Reiter Raab.

The exhibition has now officially ended. We sincerely hope that this exhibition has created a new perspective on deconstructing objects from their fixed uses and presented new visual possibilities to everyone.

📸 The Exhibition “Frame Works” by Andreas Reiter Raab is open to the public from today until April 20, 2026.

Together, we looked beyond the “Frame” of conventional function to discover a new resonance in these liberated stretchers autonomous aesthetic objects that engage powerfully with space, light, and shadow.

อันเดรียส ไรเตอร์ ราบ อาศัยและทำงานอยู่ในเวียนนา ประเทศออสเตรีย

ตลอด 25 ปีที่ผ่านมา ไรเตอร์ ราบ ได้วิเคราะห์กระบวนการวาดภาพ ผ่านแนวคิดด้านการถ่ายภาพ ศิลปะแห่งการพูดคุยและการจัดนิทรรศการ วัตถุสามมิติ และภาพวาด

ผลงานของ ไรเตอร์ ราบ ถูกสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นผ่านชุดกระบวนการที่เปรียบเสมือน 'การเข้ายึดครองระยะห่าง' ซึ่งปรากฏออกมาในรูปแบบที่หลากหลาย ตั้งแต่การวิพากษ์ทางปัญญา การทดลองกับวัสดุ การจงใจทำให้ตัวตนและผลงานหลุดลอยออกจากกันระหว่างการเดินทางอันยาวนาน ไปจนถึงการทำลายล้างและสร้างพัฒนาการใหม่ผ่านบทสนทนาแห่งความหยั่งรู้และความเชื่อมั่น ทั้งนี้ ไรเตอร์ ราบ ได้มุ่งมั่นทำงานทั้งในแง่ของการฝึกฝนทักษะทางศิลปะให้เชี่ยวชาญ ควบคู่ไปกับการเอาชนะขีดจำกัดของสื่อศิลปะนั้นๆ ในเวลาเดียวกัน — เรนาเทอ วีฮาเกอร์

About the Artist

Andreas Reiter Raabe lives and works in Vienna, Austria

For the last 25 years Reiter Raabe has analyzed the process of painting, trough photographic concepts, the art of talking and curating, the three-dimensional object and the painting itself.

The work of Reiter Raabe has been realized as a series of seizures of distance. The forms taken by this seizure of distance range very broadly. Intellectual criticism, material experiments, deliberate dislocation of self and work during long journeys, annihilation and new development by dialogue of insight and certainty. Reiter Raabe has always worked equally on professional mastery of an artistic medium and the simultaneous conquering of that medium.- Renate Wiehager

KULTX Collaborative Space ขอเชิญทุกท่านเข้าร่วมงานเปิดนิทรรศการ “Frame works” โดยศิลปิน อันเดรียส ไรเตอร์ ราบ ในวันศุกร์ที่ 20 มีนาคม 2569 เวลา 18:00 เป็นต้นไป

แน่นอนว่าเฟรมเปล่าที่แขวนอยู่บนผนังย่อมไม่สามารถหยุดทำหน้าที่ล้อมกรอบสิ่งต่างๆ ได้ และสายตาที่คุ้นชินกับจารีตย่อมมองเห็นพื้นที่ภายในกรอบ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นผนังปูน สีทาบ้าน หรือวอลล์เปเปอร์ ให้กลายเป็นวัตถุทางสุนทรียะ เป็นพื้นที่ที่ถูกตีกรอบ หรือเป็น "รูปภาพ" อย่างหนึ่ง ทว่าในที่นี้ เฟรมไม่ได้ทำหน้าที่เพียงแค่ล้อมกรอบพื้นผิวอีกต่อไป แต่มันได้รับการปลดปล่อย และเริ่มที่จะล้อมกรอบ "ที่ว่าง" สร้างให้เกิดมิติความลึก เกิดส่วนที่เป็นเงาและส่วนที่ต้องแสง เกิดสภาวะของการรวมเข้าและการคัดออก

หากมองจากมุมนี้ วัตถุในโลกที่ทุกอย่างถูกกำหนดหน้าที่ไว้แล้วมักถูกคาดหวังให้ทำหน้าที่เฉพาะทางเล็ก ๆ น้อย ๆ กลับถูกปลดเปลื้องจากทุกความคาดหวัง และถูกนำไปวางไว้ในบริบทของพื้นที่อันเปิดกว้าง ซึ่งทันใดนั้นเอง ทุกแง่มุม ทุกลักษณะของวัสดุ ทุกสถานการณ์ ทุกความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างองค์ประกอบหนึ่งกับอีกสิ่งหนึ่ง และทุกตำแหน่งแห่งล้วนกลายเป็นสิ่งที่มีน้ำหนัก มีความหมาย และมีพลังส่งถึงกัน

KULTX Collaborative Space cordially invites you to the opening of “Frame works” by Andreas Reiter Raabe. The Opening Reception begins at 6 PM on Friday, 20 March 2026.

An object's context of use, its given field of usage, obscures its visual existence. Whoever dares take the trouble to uncouple objects from their narrow orientations of use and the related fixed "readings" , ends up in a field of surprising possibilities and their perception. Reiter Raabe's method is seemingly simple: for instance, when he works with stretchers, wooden frames for a painter's canvas. No longer used as frames for picture areas, they first lose their useful existence. Width, thickness, size, profile, color, and texture are suddenly no longer functions of a performance that is dependent on what is framed, but the object, the frame itself, is "thrown back" on its own material and spatial existence, returned to its released, neutral materiality.

Of course, the empty frame, hung on a wall, cannot stop framing things and the conventional eye sees in the framed area - whether plaster, paint, or wall paper - an aesthetic object, a framed field, an "image". But the frame no longer simply frames a surface, it has, indeed, been released; it now also frames space, producing depth, shaded and lit areas, inclusions and exclusions.

Frames placed on top of each other form rhythmic objects with depths, sequences; what is surrounded becomes just as active as the physicalness of the series itself. The frame as element becomes the producer of enclosed volumes and extended surfaces. The connection points between the frames, the seams, can be painted over or left visible. The inner figure reflects the outer one and vice versa. Or the frame extends out of the pile, and frames a piece of "surrounding space" or an interspace extracted from the pile.

From this angle, the object - of which, in our cultural world, we expect a small selective performance - is freed from all expectation and set in a context of open space (or sense?), in which suddenly every aspect, every material characteristic, every situation, every relation of one element to the other, every positioning, takes on weight, meaning, and impact.
