MRCES

Multidisciplinary Research Center for the Environmental Sustainability MRCES was founded in 2010 by Dr. Wichitra and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopadon Sahachaisaeree.

The center has registered as a research unit of the Mahasarakham University since May 2012. The center has its aim to advance knowledge from different disciplines to solve the environmental problems in the sustainable manners. More than ninety undergraduate and graduate students were conducted researches under the supervision of Dr. Wichitra and funded by the center. Fifteen research projects were

financially supported by MSU and other national research funding agencies. Internationally, the center has developed academic partnership with universities and research institutions in many countries including China, Vietnam, U.S., Indonesia, etc.

11 November 2023, Dr. Wichitra Singhirunnusorn, MRCES Director and the ICCWtE board member, joined the 2023 Annual Meeting of the International Consultant Committee of Waste to Energy (ICCWtE) held at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China.
ICCWtE is an international and non-profit committee that consists of experienced professors, researchers, and engineers in the field of WtE from both developed and developing countries, who are willing to voluntarily and no-rewarding offer consultancy to developing countries to advance the application of WtE for a sustainable MSW management, based on their expertise and experience.
