Week 4 unfolded gently - in scents, stories, and little moments that stayed with us 🌿🕯️
This week, the children stepped into a world of aroma and creativity, as they crafted their very own scented candles.
Each one choosing, blending, and creating a scent that felt just right for them.
A quiet reflection of their own little hearts in a jar.
In the kitchen, we continued our journey with food - learning how to properly and mindfully use a knife while preparing vegetables for our homemade kimchi. 🧅🌶🥬🥕🥒
Through measuring, mixing, and tasting, maths naturally came to life once again - woven gently into everyday moments.
And somewhere in between the chopping and stirring, a beautiful story unfolded…
One of our little ones, fully immersed in cooking, began sharing stories about his grandma;
how she cooks, how she moves in the kitchen, how much love she puts into every meal.
With sparkling eyes, he softly said,
“My grandma would be so proud of me…”
And in that moment, we knew this was more than just cooking.
It was connection, memory, and love - passed on quietly, from one heart to another. 🫶
Our Art Meditation took a playful turn this week.
As the children painted with their feet!
Feeling the textures, moving freely, and connecting their whole bodies into the process.
This helped them release tension, build body awareness, and express themselves in a way that felt both grounding and joyfully free.
No rules, no pressure…just pure exploration 🌈
And for our Physical Literacy,
we stepped out of our usual rhythm and onto skateboards 🛹✨
Balancing, falling, trying again, and cheering for one another, the joy was undeniable.
The children showed courage, resilience, and so much excitement in every little ride.
And as Week 4 comes to a close,
we are reminded once again that learning doesn’t always look like sitting still.
Sometimes, it smells like candles,
sounds like laughter in the kitchen,
feels like paint beneath our feet,
and rolls forward…
one small brave push at a time 🤍✨
