"BROKEN to BECOMING : Master X Next Generation"

🖤❤️ Lacquer—a true natural wonder. It takes what’s broken and transforms it into something beautifully complete. We at Art Connecting love this amazing initiative put together by SACIT and Poh Chang Academy of Art Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin. We’re already looking forward to more events like this that push the boundaries of lacquerware art!

😎🥳Congratulations!, Cong Kim Hoa, 🎉on your selection for the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale 2026), running from May 9 to November 22, 2026.
Cong Kim Hoa (born 1962) is a prominent figure of the Doi Moi generation of artists. A master of texture and abstraction. Her career represents a deliberate shift from traditional, representational lacquer craft toward a bold, semi-abstract style.
Her technical journey is defined by a transition from "hiding" images to exposing "rhythmic" textures. Her work often explores the organic relationship between the lacquer resin and the natural world, making the material itself the star of the show.

🎯 We’d love to invite you to explore the vision of an artist who truly embodies persistence. As one of the few women in Vietnam’s lacquer art scene, she’s successfully pushed past the rigid boundaries of tradition and convention.
Her work speaks with a "quiet power"—a testament to the immense physical and mental dedication poured into every piece. As many of you know, lacquer art is notoriously demanding, requiring incredible patience and intensive labor to bring a single vision to life. Come experience this striking beauty and the sense of restless passion woven into her art. We hope her journey inspires you to break through your own limits.

🎨📣 In anticipation of the 61st Venice Biennale, the Art Connecting Contemporary Museum is proud to present 'Unleashing: The Unquenchable Will.' We invite you to explore these extraordinary lacquer works and witness the artist’s profound dedication to the medium.
