Today, we sponsored a cat spay campaign for 123 cats in Northern Thailand with the incredible Amandine HandtoPaw. After seeing her dedication firsthand, we knew we wanted to support her life-changing work and help make sterilisation campaigns more accessible.

The most effective way to reduce the number of sick, injured, and hungry street cats is to prevent overpopulation before suffering begins. With one female cat able to have multiple litters each year, this campaign means hundreds of future lives spared hardship. We are deeply grateful for Amandine (our hero!!) and proud to be able to support her.

Hand to Paw is an organisation working in the region of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand. We partnered with Amandine as she is very passionate about helping animals! When we met her, there was a terrible flood in the region and Amandine was driving around trying to help people clean up their homes as well as providing medical care and food for cats and dogs. We know how hard she works to improve animal lives, so we are proud to support her by sponsoring around 60 spays today! And with donation matching, they managed to spay 121! It is incredibly hard work, so we want to remove some of the weight for small organisations like Hand to Paw by contributing towards neutering campaigns. Thank you Hand to Paw and to the Powerhouse that is Amandine!

2025 was our first year active. We founded PATAS to improve animal welfare by focussing on the biggest impact which is through funding sterilisation campaigns, support for rescues and providing medication.

In October, we ran another sterilisation campaign in San Roman and Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico, where we sponsored 41 cats and dogs sterilisations, preventing hundreds of puppies and kittens from being born into vulnerable situations. These are FREE campaigns fully paid by our volunteers and sponsors.

We’re running another campaign in December and you can be part of it! To be part of these campaigns, you can contribute towards our campaigns here: https://linktr.ee/patas.help with just £20, we can neuter a cat or a dog. It’s truly one of the most effective ways to improve animal welfare.

✈️ If you’ve ever seen a cat or dog living on the street and wondered what you could do to help, supporting sterilisations is the best way to help, you can participate by sponsoring a sterilisation (or two!) by donating to organisations in the area you visit, with local (small) charities near you, or by contributing to campaigns like the ones we run.

In August, we launched a fundraiser in memory of Adriana’s mum in partnership with Fundación Libertad Animal in Lebrija, Santander, Colombia—a small town where resources for pet care are limited. We are excited to cooperate with Fundación Libertad Animal, once again, for a second campaign in Cachiri, Santander, Colombia.

Thanks to your incredible support, 43 cats and dogs were successfully neutered, including two abandoned dogs rescued by one of the vets. We also had an emergency case: a small injured dog who received free treatment from the amazing volunteer team.

Our impact so far - 357 lives changed! Hundreds of lives saved! 🐾

From Mexico to Thailand, the UK and Colombia, we’ve completed 357 neuterings so far this year — preventing countless kittens and puppies where there are too many born and not enough care for all of them. Therefore, giving cats and dogs healthier, happier lives. 🐶🐱💛

🌍 Where we worked:
🇲🇽 Bacalar, Miguel Hidalgo, Kuchumatan, La Ceiba, Pedro A Santos/Buenavista in Quintana Roo, Mexico – as part of our collaboration with MUCPAZ reaching a total of 211 neuterings!
🇲🇽 Tulum, Q Roo. Mexico – as part of our contribution to Alma Animal, we sponsored food for the volunteers running the neutering campaigns. We are hoping to sponsor a neutering campaign with them soon!
🇨🇴 Santander, Colombia - sponsoring a neutering campaign with for 43 cats and dogs.
🇹🇭 Chiang Mai, Thailand – sponsored a neutering campaign with Hand to Paw for 98 cats
🇬🇧 London, UK – Sponsored 5 neuterings as one-off situations.

We’re thrilled to sponsor our first spay/neuter campaign in Thailand — in partnership with the amazing Amandine HandtoPaw — helping 98 cats get neutered! 😻

Spay/neuter efforts are one of the most impactful ways to create lasting change in animal welfare. By preventing unwanted litters, we’re helping reduce suffering before it begins. In this case alone, that means preventing an estimated 3,500 cats from being born within 18 months - without garanteed access to food, shelter, or medical care.

We are launching a fundraiser in the loving memory of our co-founder Adriana’s mum. Idalid was unapologetically authentic, endlessly generous, and deeply in love with life.

She taught us kindness, compassion, independence—and the importance of helping those in need. Her door was always open to all, especially animals in need.

Today, we honour her legacy by launching a neutering campaign, a cause she cared about deeply.

For every £10 donated, a dog or cat in her home country, Colombia, will be sterilised in her name in collaboration with the wonderful

Sterilisation campaigns are extremely important as they improve quality of life and prevent the suffering of countless animals. And honour her legacy by sharing our love and compassion.
