As we welcomed the New Year, our hearts were filled with joy and gratitude as we joined the Children’s Day celebrations organized by Baan Viangping Children’s Home. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to come together and experience love, joy, and fellowship.
The event included a sports day where all the children were divided into teams. This year, the children from Agape Home were part of the red team. Through various competitions and traditional Thai games, the children were able to enjoy healthy activities that encouraged teamwork, friendship, and the well-being of both body and mind.
One of the highlights of the day was a recycled costume contest under the theme “Dream Job.” The costumes were thoughtfully created using recycled materials such as egg cartons, bubble wrap, and rice sacks, beautifully decorated with creative flowers.
Our young boy presented his dream career as a football player, while our young girl shared her dream of becoming a nurse. Both costumes were made from recycled rice sacks, reflecting not only creativity but also care for God’s creation.
The children were overjoyed and deeply encouraged to receive first prize for their creativity. After the activities, everyone enjoyed a variety of delicious meals generously prepared by Baan Viangping, along with special fried chicken lovingly made by Mae Nit for both the children and caregivers.
The day was filled with laughter, joy, and unity. Children and caregivers had a wonderful time celebrating Sports Day and Children’s Day together. This was a blessed day, and we thank God for His goodness, provision, and the loving community He has surrounded us with.
Thank you for standing with us and for being part of God’s work in the lives of these precious children. Your prayers and support continue to make moments like these possible.
