To be a beacon for Christ, bringing hope to the hopeless, joy to the despaired and love to the fatherless. It first started with twenty-eight children.

For over eighteen years, Care Corner Orphanage has been a place where orphaned and underprivileged Thai children have found a loving home and a place to learn about the love of Jesus. Care Corner Orphanage also believes God has called them into existence to influence all levels of Thai society with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. April 1995 was the inception of Care Corner Orphanage. In

May of 2011, there are over eighty children housed at the orphanage in Sanpatong and at Om Sung’s children’s home. The goal of the ministry is to provide spiritual development based on the Bible, basic education, primary health care and the utmost moral guidance as they grow. Many of the children came from family devastated by drug addiction, AIDS and broken homes. The orphanage also provides shelter for girls who would otherwise be lured into prostitution.

🖍 We came into the art therapy session carrying many things. With just one colour each, we began simply by doodling on a large piece of paper quietly. At first, it felt individual, each of us staying in our own space. But slowly, something shifted.

We began to add on to one another's drawings, crossing into each other's spaces, building on each other's lines. What started as separate expressions became something shared. By the end, we were smiling and laughing together. The paper no longer just held drawings, it held a sense of connection and community. It was a reminder that when we come together, the bigger picture becomes more colourful and more beautiful than anything we could create alone 🎨

🌳 As we moved into reflecting on the tree, we were reminded that every part has its role and purpose. We carry strengths, support, resources, and purpose within this community. There is also something deeply comforting in knowing that we are not doing this work alone. We have one another, the wider Care Corner community, and God, who is present with us in every season.

Through this art therapy session, we were reminded of how powerful art can be. It creates space for expression, healing, and learning. We leave not just with insights, but with a renewed sense of connection and gratitude✨️

🎉👨‍🎓👩‍🎓 Congratulations to all our graduates! Well done. Your hard work and perseverance have truly paid off.

You made it by God’s grace, and through the love of an incredible village. Teachers, volunteers, education sponsors, donors, and staff who poured into your lives day after day. Each of you was carried by love and lifted by prayer.

🌳 As part of our staff development journey, we had our third art therapy workshop together.

Today, one thing stood out clearly. We truly do have support, resources, and hope all around us. In the busyness of serving, it is easy to forget. But when we slow down and pause to reflect, we begin to see again how blessed we are ✨

May we continue to grow steadily, like a strong tree with deep roots. And may that growth become shade, strength, and blessing to many others 💛🌱

🎨 Through art, our children and youths were given a safe space to express their inner worlds, without pressure, without rushing, just as they are

🩷 Each art therapy session became a precious pause. Thoughtfully prepared materials, a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and the freedom to create and feel. It was healing for the mind and heart 💞

🇩🇪 Kristin and Haya, thank you for reaching out from Germany and offering your time, passion, and expertise so generously. More than volunteers, you became friends to all of us! We are very thankful for everything you’ve shared with us. Wishing you both all the very best, and we truly hope to meet you again one day~💛

🥁🎸🎹 We are grateful for the musical growth we have seen in our children over the past weeks. Under P’Chon’s guidance, the kids learned to play new instruments, improved significantly, and sang Thai Christmas songs with confidence and joy.

It was encouraging to see Rin play the drums during chapel worship and to hear the children singing as one. With continued practice, more of our kids will be ready to lead and serve 🎶

Thank you P’Chon for travelling to Care Corner and investing time to teach and support our children! ขอบคุณมากๆพี่ชลที่มาสอนเด็กๆค่ะ 🤩🙏🏻

❣️So grateful for our caregivers workshop led by Senior Social Worker June! She didn’t just teach us. She shaped us. We learnt what true professionalism looks like, the work ethics that steady our work, and the heart to keep learning and growing 🌱

💭 The discussion of scenarios helped us see our impact with new clarity and reminded us of the importance of applying work ethics that lead us toward good, thoughtful care for our children and youths.

P’June, your patience and your heart have made a real difference in our work and lives.
You are truly an answered prayer and blessing to us 💛✨️

🗑😲Sharing little snippets of life you rarely see. Every week, we load up the truck and head to the local trash centre. It looks simple on the outside, but it takes time, petrol, brave hearts (haha!) willing to endure the the heavy stench, the worms and bugs, and the mountain of trash before us. Everything is weighed and paid by the kilo, so we work hard to reduce wastage, recycle what we can, and use things wisely💡

It’s not glamorous, but it’s part of our life and work here in Chiang Mai. We learn to care for our home, for each other, and for this earth we share 🌏✨️

🖍✨️ Today our staff team gathered for our second art therapy session! There is something healing about slowing down, picking up colours, and letting our stories come out through art.

The activity of drawing a house (บ้าน / 집) 🏡 turned out to reveal so much about how we communicate and how our inner world is doing.

🪨 We also used the “stones” cards to name our emotions, and created our own little “box of emotions” (กล่องรับรู้ / 알아차림 통 만들기) to review each week. A small practice, but one that helps us grow in self-awareness and regulate our emotions.

Today reminded us that it is okay to feel what we feel. We can notice it, accept it, and learn healthier ways to manage it. This is such a precious opportunity to discover more about ourselves, so that we can keep serving with strength and hope~🌻

You’ve been such a blessing to Care Corner since 2002, and your love still shines so brightly today. One of the kids dreamt about playing games with you again - that’s how much fun they had! 🎯🤩Thank you for sharing your lives with us and for always shining God's light wherever you go. We’re already looking forward to next time!❣️
