EMPOWERING WOMEN, INVESTING IN CHANGE Marginalized women are empowered through emotional support, extra income, and skill based trainings.

Dao Ethical Gifts is a Business to Business social enterprise where corporations share their values and ideas for ethical gifts that give back. Dao Women's Empowerment Program builds the capacity of marginalized women living in slums and construction site camps in Thailand. Each woman receives trainings in work readiness skills, sewing, and handicrafts as well as innovative life coaching in order

to achieve their long-term goals including financial literacy, small business plans, and construction sector skill development. Because we believe, that every woman and girl, no matter where they are from, deserves to live out their dreams. Through this project, we aim to bring a sparkle back into the eyes of women most in need: breaking the cycle of poverty, building ambition and hope for a brighter future.

In this episode, Amy Sudaporn Singhatheptada, Dao Ethical Gifts Manager, shares how Dao works with women artisans in Thailand to create pathways toward income, independence, and safer futures for themselves and their children.

Through ethical and sustainable products, Dao supports women to rise above cycles of poverty and violence, proving that business can be a force for dignity, opportunity, and lasting change.

In 2025, our journey of empowering women and creating meaningful change continued to grow 🤍

With your support, more than 14,000 handcrafted products were created by 43 women!

Together, these women are mothers to 80 children, whose lives are positively impacted by their mothers’ growing confidence, resilience, social opportunities, and additional income earned through every piece they handcraft.

Dao helps build each woman’s autonomy as a primary caregiver, creating a positive impact on their children’s daily well-being.
