Child's Dream Educated and empowered people responsibly shaping and sustaining fair, just and healthy societies.

Child’s Dream exists to ensure that children and young adults in the Mekong Sub-Region, affected by inequality, grow up to be healthy and have access to quality education and employment opportunities. To achieve this, we design, implement, and partner to support interventions in Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Thailand. These interventions focus on education, employability, youth empowerment, leadership, and basic and essential healthcare. Our team is made up of passionate, purpose-driven individuals connected by a common set of values; we aim to support beneficiaries in becoming educated and empowered people who responsibly shape and sustain fair, just and healthy societies for generations to come.

Our partner, the Participatory Development Knowledge Agency (PAKA), is helping young people gain the skills and experience to turn their ideas into action – from launching community projects to building pathways toward further education and employment.

Have you heard of Mondulkiri Province?

Located in a remote part of Cambodia, this region is home to many indigenous communities where access to clean water, sanitation, nutrition and basic health support can be a challenge. These barriers significantly affect children’s health and their ability to learn.

One of our newest partners, Kumnit Kumar Organization (KKO), is addressing these challenges through their Healthy Futures for Students Programme.

Every child deserves a window to broaden their perspective and a door to discover the world. Today, we remain committed to making learning opportunities more accessible to children and young people.

In 2025 alone, Child’s Dream reached 6,388 individuals through programmes under Strategic Goal 2: Improving Access to Basic Education, including school dropout prevention, high school scholarships, and learning centres for migrant and IDP communities—opening windows and doors to new possibilities through education 📖🌱

For many families escaping conflict in Myanmar, finding safety in Thailand comes with challenges of its own. Language barriers, financial hardship and missing documentation can make it difficult to rebuild a sense of stability – especially for migrant children trying to continue their education.

In Ranong Province, our partner Guiding Star Learning Centre (GSLC) is changing that by creating alternative learning paths to better meet these needs.

In Myanmar, the critical work of our education and health programmes is only made possible because of our dedicated local partners on the ground. Despite ongoing security concerns, checkpoints, movement restrictions and other barriers to access, they continue working to reach highly vulnerable communities with essential services and support.
