เมื่อวันที่ 13 มิถุนายน 2569 ที่ผ่านมา ล้านนาด็อกได้กลับไปทำหมันที่เทศบาลตำบลหนองจ๊อมอีกครั้ง โดยได้รับความร่วมมือและการต้อนรับอย่างยอดเยี่ยมจากทีมงานเทศบาลฯ เช่นเคย

บรรยากาศในวันนั้นเป็นไปอย่างสงบ เป็นกันเอง และผ่อนคลายด้วยอากาศเย็นสบายในช่วงเริ่มเข้าหน้าฝน ทุกอย่างถูกจัดเตรียมไว้อย่างดีเยี่ยม ทั้งการลงทะเบียน การสื่อสารกับเจ้าของสัตว์เลี้ยง รวมถึงสถานที่และอาหารเครื่องดื่ม มีสุนัขและแมวที่ลงทะเบียนไว้ 42 ตัว เจ้าของทุกคนพาสัตว์เลี้ยงมาตามนัดหมายกันครบถ้วน วันนี้เราทำหมันให้สุนัขและแมวไปทั้งหมด 41 ตัว (แมวหลุดหนี 1 ตัว ขณะที่เจ้าของเอาออกจากกรง)

ขอขอบคุณคุณชัชวาล เล็กดำธำรง นายกเทศมนตรีตำบลหนองจ๊อม เป็นอย่างสูง ที่ให้การสนับสนุนการทำหมันควบคุมประชากรและสวัสดิภาพสัตว์ในชุมชนอย่างต่อเนื่อง และจัดสรรงบประมาณรวมถึงให้กำลังใจในการทำงานที่สำคัญนี้เสมอมา คุณแปก สิริพร ณ เชียงใหม่ คุณแหนว ภัคนิตย์ เสนีวงศ์ และทีมงานกองสาธารณสุขและสิ่งแวดล้อมทุกคน ที่ทุ่มเทวางแผนงาน ติดตามผล และดูแลชุมชนเป็นอย่างดี ทำให้กิจกรรมราบรื่นและแสดงให้เห็นถึงความตั้งใจจริงที่มีต่อทั้งสัตว์และเจ้าของ

ทางทีมงานต้องขออภัยเจ้าของสัตว์เลี้ยงจากชุมชนอื่นๆที่ต้องการจะนำสุนัขและแมวมาทำหมันในครั้งนี้ด้วย เนื่องจากคิวของเราเต็มสำหรับชาวหนองจ๊อมแล้ว แต่พวกเราห่วงใยสัตว์ทุกตัวและเจ้าของทุกท่าน ทางทีมเราหวังว่าจะได้ไปช่วยดูแลและทำหมันในชุมชนอื่นๆ ในครั้งหน้า เมื่อเราเริ่มกลับมาจัดกิจกรรมทำหมันรอบใหม่ในเดือนสิงหาคมนี้

เนื่องจากนี่เป็นกิจกรรมสุดท้ายก่อนที่เราจะพักเบรกช่วงฤดูร้อน ทีมล้านนาด็อกต้องขอขอบคุณเทศบาลตำบลหนองจ๊อมที่ช่วยให้การปิดท้ายช่วงครึ่งปีแรกนี้เป็นไปอย่างสวยงาม ทั้งการเตรียมงานที่ใส่ใจ การต้อนรับที่อบอุ่น และความมุ่งมั่นด้านสวัสดิภาพสัตว์ ทำให้ทุกคนที่เกี่ยวข้องมีความสุขเป็นอย่างยิ่ง พวกเราตั้งตารอที่จะกลับมาพบกันใหม่ในเดือนสิงหาคม และขอฝากให้เจ้าของสัตว์เลี้ยงคอยติดตามเพจของเราไว้ เพื่อรับข่าวสารกิจกรรมทำหมันและการลงทะเบียนในครั้งต่อไป

On 13 June, we returned to Tessabaan Nong Jom for another sterilisation clinic, and once again the organisation and welcome from the Tessabaan team were excellent.

The day had a calm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, helped by the cooler rainy-season weather. Everything was carefully arranged, from registration and owner communication to the preparation of the venue and refreshments. Of the 42 animals registered, every owner attended with their pet. One adventurous cat managed to escape while being taken out of its carrier, so 41 animals were sterilised on the day.

A sincere thank you to Khun Chatchawan, the Mayor of Nong Jom, for his continued support of community animal welfare and for regularly providing budget and encouragement for this important work. We are also very grateful to Khun Siriporn, Khun Pakanit and all staff from the Health and Environment Office. Their planning, follow-up and care for the community made the event run smoothly and showed real commitment to both animals and owners.
We would also like to apologise to pet owners from nearby communities who hoped to join this clinic. This event was fully booked for Nong Jom residents, but we care about all animals and owners and hope to support more communities when sterilisations begin again in August.

As this was our final clinic before a short summer break, we would like to thank Tessabaan Nong Jom for helping us end this part of the year on such a positive note. Their thoughtful organisation, warm hospitality and commitment to animal welfare made the day a pleasure for everyone involved. We look forward to returning in August, and we encourage pet owners to follow our page for announcements about upcoming sterilisation events and registration details.

เมื่อวันที่ 30 พฤษภาคม 2569 ที่ผ่านมา ล้านนาด็อกรู้สึกยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ได้กลับไปที่เทศบาลตำบลไชยสถานอีกครั้ง การต้อนรับที่แสนอบอุ่นจากทีมงานที่น่ารักทำให้เรารู้สึกดีๆเสมอ เราทำหมันสุนัขและแมวไปทั้งหมด 41 ตัว ที่ทำให้เราประทับใจมากคือ มีเจ้าของพาสัตว์เลี้ยงในไชยสถานมาลงทะเบียนกว่า 20 ตัว โดยยินดีช่วยสมทบทุนค่าใช้จ่ายเอง แม้ว่าจะมีกิจกรรมทำหมันฟรีในพื้นที่รอบข้างเป็นพักๆก็ตาม ความรับผิดชอบต่อสัตว์เลี้ยงของทุกคนน่าชื่นชมมาก เพราะช่วยให้สัตว์ตัวอื่นๆ มีโอกาสได้รับการดูแลที่จำเป็นมากขึ้น

ขอขอบคุณนายกเทศมนตรีคนใหม่ คุณ อังกูร จันทะวงค์ ที่ให้การสนับสนุนการทำหมันในพื้นที่ ขอบคุณคุณภัทร์นิธิ ใจแก้ว กองสาธารณสุขและสิ่งแวดล้อม คุณ นายประพันธ์ แสงมะโน เลขานุการนายกฯ ที่คอยดูอยู่ตลอด เจ้าหน้าที่ทุกคนที่ช่วยจัดการเรื่องลงทะเบียน เตรียมสถานที่ และดูแลพวกเราอย่างอบอุ่นด้วยกาแฟ อาหารกลางวัน และปิ้งย่างหมาล่าที่เตรียมมาให้เป็นพิเศษ ขอบคุณคุณอัจฉราและลูกสาวสำหรับเค้กแสนอร่อยที่นำมาฝากเสมอเวลาพาสุนัขจรที่รับอุปการะมาทำหมัน ขอบคุณคุณดอว์นสำหรับเค้กเยอรมัน Stollen แสนอร่อย ในครั้งนี้เรายังได้ร่วมกันแสดงความยินดีกับคุณดอว์นที่ได้รับรางวัล Lifetime Achievement Award ด้านการให้คำปรึกษาด้านการศึกษา และได้รับถิ่นที่อยู่ถาวรในประเทศไทย ทำให้วันนี้เป็นวันที่พิเศษยิ่งขึ้นไปอีก

ตลอดระยะเวลา 4 ปีที่เราได้ร่วมงานกับทางเทศบาลไชยสถาน เราประทับใจกับพัฒนาการด้านสวัสดิภาพสัตว์ที่เห็นได้ชัดเจน เมื่อเทียบกับครั้งแรกที่มา เราพบสุนัขจรที่มีสุขภาพทรุดโทรม เป็นขี้เรื้อน ตั้งท้อง หรือมีชีวิตที่เป็นทุกข์ ลำบาก ตอนนี้กลายเป็นสุนัขที่มีสุขภาพดี เป็นมิตร ได้รับความรัก เอาใจใส่เป็นอย่างดีจากเจ้าหน้าที่เทศบาลทุกๆคนโดยเฉพาะคุณเทพ ณัฐดนัย ทนันชัย บางตัวคอยติดตามมาอยู่เป็นเพื่อนระหว่างทำงาน นอนหลับข้างๆ กันเหมือนเป็นครอบครัวเดียวกัน เรายินดีเป็นพิเศษที่ลูกสุนัขจากแม่สุนัขจรจัดทั้ง 8 ตัวได้บ้านใหม่แล้ว

การได้เห็นสัตว์เหล่านี้มีสุขภาพดี ปลอดภัย และเป็นที่ยอมรับ คือแรงบันดาลใจสำคัญที่ทำให้เราทำงานนี้ต่อไป เทศบาลไชยสถานได้ก้าวหน้าไปมากในช่วง 4 ปีที่ผ่าน ความสำเร็จในวันนี้เกิดขึ้นได้จากความร่วมมือของทุกฝ่ายที่ให้ความสำคัญกับสวัสดิภาพของสัตว์อย่างแท้จริง ขอบคุณทุกท่านที่ร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตสัตว์ในพื้นที่ไชยสถานให้ดีขึ้นอย่างยั่งยืน

On 30 May 2026, we were delighted to return to Chaisathan Municipality Office, where such a welcoming place and wonderful team greeted us. They are always so hospitable and kind, and on this visit 41 dogs and cats were sterilised. We were especially encouraged that more than 20 registered pets were brought by owners who chose to pay for their own animals, even though free sterilisation events are sometimes available in the area. Their commitment to responsible pet ownership is greatly appreciated and helps ensure that more animals can receive the care they need.
Our sincere thanks to the newly elected Mayor for welcoming our team, and to Khun Patniti and the municipal staff for organising registration, preparing the venue, and looking after everyone with coffee, lunch, and freshly grilled meat skewers prepared especially for us. Thank you also to Khun Achara for the delicious cakes she always brings when she and her daughter bring their adopted former stray dogs for sterilisation, and to Dawn for the lovely German Stollen cake. The team also very kindly congratulated Dawn on her Lifetime Achievement Award in Counselling and Permanent Residency in Thailand, which made the day even more special.

What touched us most was seeing how much animal welfare has improved in Chaisathan since our first visit four years ago. Dogs that were once sick, mangy, pregnant or struggling are now healthy, friendly and cared for by municipal staff. Some spend their days accompanying staff at work and sleep beside them at night as part of the family. We were especially pleased to hear that all eight puppies from one former stray mother dog have been adopted into loving homes.

Seeing these animals healthy, safe and accepted reminds us why this work matters. Chaisathan has come a long way over the past four years, and it was a pleasure to witness that progress firsthand. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible.

เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 4 เมษายน 2569 ที่ผ่านมา พวกเราได้รับการต้อนรับที่อบอุ่นอีกครั้งจากทางเทศบาลหนองจ๊อมที่เป็นเทศบาลที่มีการบริหารจัดการได้ดีเยี่ยมเหมือนเดิม แม้อากาศจะร้อนมากและคุณภาพของอากาศที่แย่ เต็มไปด้วยฝุ่น PM แต่บรรยากาศก็เต็มไปด้วยความสุข แต่ทุกคนก็ยังมีสปิริตเต็มที่และเป็นวันที่ดีมากวันหนึ่ง ในรอบนี้เราทำหมันสุนัขและแมวไปทั้งหมด 48 ตัว

สิ่งที่น่าประทับใจเป็นพิเศษคือความรับผิดชอบของคนในชุมชน เพราะมีสัตว์เลี้ยงที่ลงทะเบียนไว้มาตามนัดถึง 43 จาก 45 ตัว การมาตามนัดมีความสำคัญมากเพราะช่วยให้การวางแผนการทำงานได้ดีขึ้น ทั้งเรื่องเวลา อุปกรณ์ และสถานที่ เพื่อให้เราช่วยสัตว์ได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้ บรรยากาศตลอดทั้งวันเต็มไปด้วยความสงบและเป็นกันเอง ทุกคนมีความอดทนและยิ้มแย้มแจ่มใส นอกจากนี้ล้านนาด็อกยังดีใจที่ได้เห็นอาคารใหม่ของเทศบาลและพื้นที่บริการชุมชนที่ขยายใหญ่ขึ้น ช่วงนี้เป็นช่วงเตรียมงานสงกรานต์ที่กำลังจะมาถึงพอดี ขอบคุณเจ้าหน้าที่เทศบาลที่มาช่วยกันแม้จะเป็นช่วงเตรียมงานสงกรานต์ก็ตาม

ขอขอบคุณนายกชัชวาลย์ เล็กธำรงและอาจารย์ประภัสสรณ์ ภรรยาของท่าน ที่เห็นถึงความสำคัญและสนับสนุนโครงการทำหมันสัตว์มาอย่างยาวนาน รวมถึงเงินบริจาคส่วนตัวที่มอบให้ล้านนาด็อกตลอดมา ซึ่งมีความหมายกับเรามาก

On Saturday, 4 April 2026, we were warmly welcomed once again by the very well-organised Nongjom Tessabaan. Although it is now the hot season and poor air quality (PM 2.5), everyone’s spirits were high and it was a lovely day. In total, 48 dogs and cats were sterilised.

It was especially encouraging to see such responsible participation from the community, with 43 of the 45 registered pets brought on the day. This makes a real difference to our planning and helps us use limited time, supplies, and spaces as effectively as possible, so that more animals can be helped. The whole day had a calm and friendly atmosphere, with everyone showing great patience. It was also lovely to see the expansion of the new buildings and service areas for the community. With Songkran coming soon and preparations already well underway, we especially appreciated the Tessabaan’s help on the day.

We would like to thank Mayor Chatchawan and his wife, Ajarn Apassorn, for their long-standing commitment to this sterilisation project and for recognising its importance over many years. Their private donations to Lanna Dog each year mean a great deal.

Our thanks also go to Khun Paek Siriporn, Khun Naew Pakanit, and all staff for the excellent preparation of the community, venue, and registration. Everything was organised so well, and Lanna Dog is delighted to know that the increased sterilisation budget requested by the Public Health team last year was approved. This support is vital for meeting the growing community demand and enables us to expand our sterilisation efforts significantly this year. We truly value this continued commitment and are already looking forward to returning to Nongjom again soon.

เมื่อวันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ล้านนาด็อกได้มีโอกาสต้อนรับบุคคลากรและอาสาสมัครจากเทศบาลเมืองดอนแก้วจำนวน 30 คน ภายใต้การนำของ นสพ ธัญพิสิทธิ์ คุณโลก และผู้อำนวยการกองสาธารณสุขและสิ่งแวดล้อม ดร. ศุทธา แพรสี ในการโครงการพัฒนาศักยภาพอาสาสมัครดูแลสุขภาพสัตว์ของเทศบาลเมืองดอนแก้ว เพื่อยกระดับองค์ความรู้ ทักษะเชิงปฏิบัติการของ อสมในการเฝ้าระวัง ป้องกันและควบคุมโรคสัตว์โดยเฉพาะโรคพิษสุนัขบ้าในระดับชุมชน

ในการฝึกอบรมนี้ ดร.วิไลวรรณ เพชรโสภณสกุล ได้นำเสนอภาพรวมของค่าใช้จ่ายในการบริหารจัดการวัคซีนโรคพิษสุนัขบ้า การจัดเก็บและเทคนิคการฉีดวัคซีนแบบปราศจากเชื้อ และวิธีการเข้าหาสัตว์อย่างปลอดภัยทั้งผู้ฉีดและสัตว์ ในการนี้ทางอสม ได้ฝึกเทคนิคและทดสอบฉีดวัคซีนโดยใช้หนังเทียมอย่างถูกวิธี หลังจากนั้นคุณกมลพชร โทสินธิติ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเรื่องสุนัข ได้นำ น้องฮันนี่ แสนรู้มาอธิบายให้เข้าใจถึงธรรมชาติของสุนัข ปฏิกิริยาต่างๆที่แสดงถึงความกลัว ความก้าวร้าว ดีใจ วิธีการเข้าหา การฝึกและการให้รางวัล หลังจากนั้น รศ ดร.นสพ. วรพัฒน์ ประชาศิลป์ชัย รองผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลสัตว์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ ได้แสดงวิธีการฉีดวัคซีน ให้กับสุนัขและแมว อย่างถูกต้อง อ่อนโยน และสัตว์ไม่เครียด การสื่อสารกับเจ้าของสัตว์ก่อนที่จะออกไปฉีดวัคซีนตามบ้าน

ทั้งนี้การรักและดูแลสัตว์ให้เหมือนคนในครอบครัว คือการยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตและสร้างชุมชนที่เกื้อกูลกัน เหมือนที่มหาตมา คานธี เคยกล่าวสรุปไว้อย่างน่าประทับใจว่า “การปฏิบัติต่อสัตว์ด้วยเมตตา คือสิ่งที่บอกถึงคุณค่าของสังคม”

ท้ายนี้ขอขอบคุณทาง คุณพลากร กันทวัง นายกเทศมนตรีเมืองดอนแก้ว และบุคคลากรจากทางเทศบาลที่ให้ความสำคัญและเป็นตัวอย่างให้กับชุมชนอื่นๆในการยกระดับความของการฉีดวัคซีนป้องกันโรคพิษสุนัขบ้าไปสู่คุณค่าและสวัสดิภาพของสัตว์

Empowering Volunteers for a Pet-Friendly Community
On February 27, 2026, Lanna Dog had the pleasure of hosting 30 staff and animal volunteers from Don Kaeo Municipality for a special animal health training project. Under the leadership of Dr. Thanyaphisit Khunlok and Dr. Sutta Praesi, the team focused on improving community-level skills for preventing and controlling Rabies.

The day was filled with valuable learning: Dr. Wilaiwan Petsophonsakul presented an overview of Rabies vaccine management, including storage, sterile injection techniques, and how to safely approach animals for both the handler and the pet. Volunteers practiced these techniques using synthetic skin. Later, dog expert Ms. Kamolpachara Tosinthiti used her clever dog named "Honey" to explain dog behavior—such as fear, aggression, and joy—as well as proper ways to approach, train, and reward them. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapat Prachasilchai, deputy Director of the CMU Veterinary Hospital then demonstrated gentle vaccination techniques that keep animals calm and happy. He also shared tips on communicating effectively with pet owners during home visits.

By treating animals as members of our own families, we raise the quality of our community. We are reminded of Gandhi’s words: “The way we treat animals shows the true value of our society.”

Finally, we would like to thank Mr. Palakorn Kantawang, Mayor of Don Kaeo, and all municipality staff for prioritizing animal welfare and serving as a model for other communities in elevating rabies prevention.

เมื่อวันที่ 28 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ที่ผ่านมา ล้านนาด็อกได้ไปทำหมันที่เทศบาลตำบลหนองควาย โดยเราทำหมันสุนัขและแมวรวมทั้งหมด 39 ตัว เป็นเวลานานพอสมควรที่เราไม่ได้มาที่นี่ การได้กลับไปอีกครั้งจึงเป็นเรื่องที่น่ายินดีอย่างยิ่ง ทั้งชุมชนในพื้นที่และเจ้าหน้าที่เทศบาลให้การต้อนรับและสนับสนุนการทำงานเป็นอย่างดีตลอดทั้งวัน
นอกจากนี้ทางเทศบาลยังมีการบริการฉีดวัคซีนป้องกันโรคพิษสุนัขบ้าควบคู่ไปกับกิจกรรมทำหมัน ซึ่งการประสานงานระหว่างทีมเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่นและมีระบบมาก นับเป็นการใช้เวลา สถานที่ และการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยมีเจ้าของสัตว์เลี้ยงหมุนเวียนกันมาตลอด แม้จะเป็นวันที่ค่อนข้างยุ่งแต่ก็เต็มไปด้วยรอยยิ้มและความร่วมมือที่เข้มแข็งท่ามกลางอากาศที่ร้อนระอุของการเริ่มเข้าสู่ฤดูร้อน
ทางทีมงานขอขอบคุณนายกเทศมนตรีตำบลหนองควายที่อนุญาตให้ใช้สถานที่และสนับสนุนการทำหมันในครั้งนี้ ขอขอบคุณผอ.กัญจนะ เหล่มนำชัย หัวหน้ากองสาธารณสุขและสิ่งแวดล้อม หมอเหมี่ยว ธนพร คชกูล จากหน่วยงานเดียวกัน ที่เป็นหัวเรี่ยวหัวแรงในการประสานงานด้านสาธารณสุขในพื้นที่ด้วยความทุ่มเท ตั้งแต่การเตรียมสถานที่ไปจนถึงการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้ชาวบ้านทราบ ขอขอบคุณ รศ.ดร.น.สพ.วรพัฒน์ ประชาศิลป์ชัย ที่บริจาคเพื่อสนับสนุนการทำหมัน คุณอัจฉราพร้อมน้องหวานลูกสาว ที่คอยนำสุนัขจรจัดมาทำหมันอย่างสม่ำเสมอ และคุกกี้สุขภาพแสนอร่อยมาฝากทีมงานด้วย
ท้ายที่สุดนี้ ขอบคุณเหล่าสุนัข แมว และทุกคนเกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งเจ้าของสัตว์ ผู้ช่วยเหลือสัตว์ บุคคลากรของเทศบาล และอาสาสมัครทุกคนที่ทุ่มเทที่ช่วยให้วันนี้ประสบความสำเร็จ หน่วยทำหมันของล้านนาด็อกเป็นกิจกรรมของชุมชนอย่างแท้จริง ที่รวมพลังให้ทุกคนมาช่วยกันทำให้ชีวิตของคนและสัตว์ดีขึ้น เพื่อการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างปลอดภัยและมีความสุข

On 28 February, Lanna Dog Welfare held a sterilisation clinic in Nong Kwai where 39 animals were sterilised. It had been quite some time since we last worked on that side of town and it was wonderful to return. The local community and the Tessabaan staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the day.

A rabies vaccination programme was running alongside the sterilisation clinic and the coordination between the teams was seamless and very well organised. It was an excellent use of time, facilities and community presence, with a steady flow of people and animals coming and going. It made for a busy day, but one filled with smiling faces and a strong sense of cooperation as we move towards the warmer weather of the hot season.

We would like to thank the Mayor and the Tessabaan of Nong Kwai for granting permission and supporting the clinic. Our sincere thanks also go to Director Kanjana Laemnamchai and Khun Meaw (Thanaporn Kochakul) who led the local public health coordination with dedication and energy, from helping prepare the space to spreading the word throughout the community. We are also very grateful to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapat Prachasilchai for a generous donation in support of the clinic. Thank you as well to Khun Achara and her daughter, who regularly bring stray dogs for sterilisation and who kindly brought delicious cookies for the team.

Finally, thank you to the wonderful dogs, cats and people, their owners, rescuers, Tessabaan staff and all of our dedicated volunteers who helped make the day such a success. Lanna Dog Welfare clinics are truly community events, bringing people together to improve the lives of animals and people so they can live together more safely and harmoniously.
