IT’S TEAM SEASON 🥳👏🏼

Summer in Honduras means our Sparrow Team is welcoming teams each week who come to invest in the ministry God is doing through our Honduran team all year long.

Short Term Missionaries invest in the lives of the Long Term Missionaries and come alongside them as they continue the work. We love seeing other believers from around the world join us each year as we love the community here in Honduras.

Can you guess who’s who? 👶🐣

Each of these little faces grew up to serve, disciple, teach, lead, and pour into others. Today they are part of what God is doing through Sparrow Missions as staff, missionaries, and local leaders, all playing a unique role in helping raise up disciples who make disciples.

This is just a small peek at some of the people God is using. Every role matters, and every person is part of the story He is writing through this ministry.

Meet Karla 🙋🏽‍♀️

Karla is a faithful and hardworking servant based in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. She serves as our Kids Ministry and Missions Operations Coordinator, but, if you know Karla, you know she wears many hats and is always willing to jump in where needed.

Karla leads Kids Class each week both in Rancho Bonito and at Iglesia Sublime Gracia. She serves with her husband, Poite, at Iglesia Sublime Gracia, working to share the good news of Jesus with the community.

Karla also works directly with all our short-term mission teams, coordinating weekly activities and leading them as they join in the work of ministry in San Pedro Sula! So, if you’re coming on a team with us in 2026, you’ll be able to see Karla in action!

Pray for Karla as she continues to work in every way for God’s glory! 🧡

Classes at Sparrow Academy are in full swing and we’re so excited to see how God moves in the lives of our Sparrows this year!! 🧡

Each of our Sparrows are sponsored by generous donors who provide uniforms, meals, school supplies, and more! We have a few Sparrows who are unsponsored for this school year and we would love to see them sponsored by the end of February.
