At Sparrow Academy, we are not solely focused on content or grades.

We want our Sparrows to have a holistic education that sees each student’s individual needs and works to help them thrive in every way. 📚

This means that they are discipled, well fed, taken care of physically, healthy, mentally supported, given opportunities to be creative, taught about their country’s history, and so much more!

At Sparrow Academy, we want each Sparrow to be cared for both inside and outside of the classroom! 💛

Over the past 17 years, we have seen God’s faithfulness, kindness, and grace on Sparrow Missions. He has shown again and again his heart for each nation, each community, and each person. 🌏

Meet Margie 🌸

Margie serves as a missionary to Rong San Village in Northern Thailand where she works directly alongside Pastor Ake and Phii Pai to disciple the community.

Margie is originally from San Pedro Sula and began working with Sparrow Missions as a translator and a graphic designer. Through her time in Rancho Bonito and at Sparrow Academy, Margie was discipled, equipped, and trained to serve communities and bring the Gospel to those in need. After years of faithful service in Honduras, she began to feel God’s call to the nations! 🌏

Now, as a missionary in Thailand, she leads weekly ministry efforts with local kids, hosts discipleship with several teenage girls who are seeking to grow in faith, and teaches English classes. Margie also continues to serve on our Communications Team where she assists in creating content for Sparrow Missions.

She is a beautiful example of someone living out the legacy of Isaiah 6:8: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” 🙋🏽‍♀️

Margie is a faithful disciple of Christ who has been obedient to the call of God to go and make disciples among the nations. 👏🏽

Why Thailand? 🇹🇭

In many remote Thai villages, there are no churches, no Bibles, and no believers. Generations have lived and died without ever hearing the name of Jesus.

We want to be a part of seeing Thai people saved by the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

We are so grateful for the faithful service of our local leaders. Every day, they teach, guide, pray, train, and serve, aiming to make disciples of their students, players, neighbors, and friends. 👏🏾
