หนึ่งปีเจ็ดเดือนแห่งการต่อสู้: อิสรภาพของผู้เสียหายจากการค้ามนุษย์
ตลอด หนึ่งปีเจ็ดเดือนที่ผ่านมา เราได้เดินหน้าต่อสู้เพื่อความยุติธรรม เพื่อ อิสรภาพของผู้เสียหายจากการค้ามนุษย์ ซึ่งถูกคุมขังอยู่ในเรือนจำจังหวัดเชียงราย จากการถูกเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจจับกุมในข้อกล่าวหา "สมคบกันค้ามนุษย์"
แม้ข้อเท็จจริงจะปรากฏชัดว่าพวกเขาคือ ผู้เสียหาย ที่ตกเป็นเหยื่อของขบวนการค้ามนุษย์ แต่กระบวนการยุติธรรมในช่วงต้นกลับปฏิบัติต่อพวกเขาในฐานะ “ผู้กระทำความผิด” นำไปสู่การสูญเสียอิสรภาพอย่างไม่เป็นธรรม
ภายใต้ระบบที่ยังขาดความเข้าใจในบริบทของเหยื่อ การกล่าวหาที่คลุมเครือและการขาดการสืบสวนอย่างรอบด้าน ทำให้ผู้บริสุทธิ์ต้องใช้ชีวิตในเรือนจำอย่างยาวนาน ทั้งที่ควรได้รับการคุ้มครองตามกฎหมายและหลักสิทธิมนุษยชน
แต่ในที่สุด...
วันที่ 15 กรกฎาคม 2568 ศาลได้พิพากษา ยกฟ้อง
ประกาศให้พวกเขาเป็นผู้บริสุทธิ์ และได้รับ อิสรภาพคืนอย่างเป็นทางการ
คำตัดสินในวันนี้คือหมุดหมายสำคัญ ที่สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความพยายามอย่างไม่ย่อท้อของทีมที่อยู่เบื้องหลังการต่อสู้ครั้งนี้ ทั้งนักกฎหมาย องค์กรสิทธิ และภาคประชาสังคม ที่ร่วมกันผลักดันให้เสียงของผู้เสียหายดังขึ้น
แต่การต่อสู้ของเรา... ยังไม่จบ
เพราะตราบใดที่ยังมีผู้เสียหายถูกตีตราเป็นผู้กระทำผิด
ตราบใดที่กระบวนการยุติธรรมยังไม่สามารถมองเห็นเหยื่อได้อย่างถูกต้อง
เราจะยังคงยืนหยัด
เพื่อความเป็นธรรมที่แท้จริง
เพื่ออิสรภาพที่ไม่มีใครต้องแลกมาด้วยความเจ็บปวด
One Year and Seven Months of Fighting: Freedom for Victims of Human Trafficking
For the past one year and seven months, we have been fighting for justice — for the freedom of victims of human trafficking who were unjustly detained in Chiang Rai Provincial Prison after being arrested by the police on charges of conspiring in human trafficking.
Despite clear evidence showing that they were in fact victims, not perpetrators, the justice system initially failed to recognize their true status. Instead of receiving protection and support, they were treated as criminals — stripped of their freedom, dignity, and rights.
This reflects a deeper problem in the system: a lack of understanding of the complex nature of trafficking, and an absence of proper procedures to identify and assist victims. As a result, innocent people were forced to endure long periods behind bars — when they should have been safeguarded under the law.
But finally, on July 15, 2025, the court ruled in their favor — dismissing all charges and granting their release.
They were officially declared innocent, and their freedom was restored.
This verdict is a powerful milestone. It marks the culmination of tireless efforts by legal teams, human rights advocates, and civil society organizations who refused to let injustice prevail. It is a reminder that fighting for the truth, no matter how long it takes, can change lives.
But our work is not done.
As long as victims continue to be mistaken for criminals —
As long as the justice system fails to see them for who they truly are —
We will keep fighting.
For real justice.
For freedom that no one should have to lose.
