VERY EXCITING!!
Our next training begins in less than one week now. And that’s not the best part, there is so much buzz about this training it’s so exciting!
So many people want to come, we had to cap the number of people due to limited resources but they have asked to come anyway. We told them okay but you might have to sleep on the floor and catch your own dinner from the river, they said they still want to come!!
Isn’t that amazing?? They are so eager to learn more of God’s word, for most this is an opportunity they have never had before. Unlike our leadership training events, these trainings are focusing more on the congregation and for those that want to study the Bible deeper.
After working so hard to get to this point we just really feel this is a confirmation from the Lord that we are following His will for us and moving in the right direction.
We really don’t wanna stop people from coming if they want to learn. We feel like it’s a shame to have to limit the number of people who want to come and study God‘s word due to finances.
Even so, we tried to cap the number to about 20 people. And that number just seems to continue to grow. So we are currently trying to prepare for 35 people coming from the Northern country.
Now the way that we do this here is very different to how I’m sure it’s done in the States. People don’t RSVP or even let you know they’re coming at times. It’s all sort of done through phone calls here and there and chit chats and messages and the number changes a lot even up to the day before the training session. We always have to remain flexible and just go with the flow and believe that God will bring the people that need to be here.
With that being said we only have about 21 full sleeping sets. In a sleeping set I’m including:
- fold out mattress
- pillow
- bottom sheet
- top sheet
- pillowcase
- towel
So we are coming to our supporters and asking for help to buy additional sets to host our students from the north.
Each set costs just $35! And we are looking to get 14 sets.
