Advocate's Reach was incorporated as a Washington Non-Profit Corporation on January 18, 1990, by Mic Michael was the Chairman from its birth until 2014.

ADVOCATE’S REACH was incorporated as a Washington Non-Profit Corporation on January 18, 1990, by Michael and Naomi Phillips, missionaries to Thailand. The Phillips serve in the area of Chiang Kham, Phayao, Thailand and are a one hundred percent faith driven ministry run on donations and gifts from churches and private donors. The Phillips are members of and sent out by Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro Kansas.

Immediate Prayer: Caleb and Cayleigh, along with their children, are at the Chiang Rai airport. They are flying to Bangkok for their visa. Due to heavy rains and road construction, they arrived 10 minutes late for check-in. The plane has not yet loaded, but the counter person is saying they they connot board due to being late. There are 6 other passengers in the same situation. Please pray that the airline will have a heart and let them on the plane. Their flights are not refundable, so it also means a great financial loss as well.

Advocate’s Reach friends we have an urgent prayer request!

We have a flight already booked for Monday to go to Bangkok to renew our visa that expires on Wednesday. All must attended in person to renew visas but this morning it has become clear that all 3 of our kids have hand foot and mouth disease.

As you can imagine the children are quite unwell. But even if we put their health aside, we should not fly with such a contagious disease but if we do not extend our visa we will loose it and be subject to overstay fines and/or have to leave the country.

Right now we genuinely don’t know what to do. There is the possibility of driving, but as some of you may have seen, Bangkok is majorly flooded at the moment and many of the roads are still impassable due to flooding and large landslides. There is more heavy rainfall expected to start on Monday too.

Please pray for wisdom and divine intervention from the Lord.

We have just come across this swimming pool in Chiang Kham recently. Now we are able to take the boys, plus our kids; totaling 19 children for days out like this.

We love these boys like are own and it is our passion to provide them with opportunities to learn, develop skills, play and have fun while continuing to point them to the love of God, our wonderful creator 💖

We feel blessed and privileged to be a part of this ministry and these boys lives and to be able to do this stuff with them 🥰🥰🥰

Oh and incase your wondering, yes we did take over the whole pool, there was only one other child that wasn’t in our group 😂

Our brothers and sisters are currently on their way home after another wonderful training event!

Please praise God with us for the hearts of these leaders that wish to know God and the Bible in more depth to take to their communities and spread the gospel further. Please pray for them as they cross the border that they may have no problems and that they, their families and their communities are safe and free from persecution.

This training was a more intimate session as we welcomed 10 students from across the border. As we are still in the depths of rainy season and the majority of people cannot travel down from the mountains due to the flooding on the dirt roads.

But we believe it was a powerful session due to this. We welcomed 3 new students that are from the Kamut tribe; a couple and another man. The couple have a powerful testimony about how the husband has lost his way a couple of times but God was always with him and was able to bring him back into the light. This couple now run a house church in the mountains and he is the pastor but he has little to no education of the Bible and because they are so far out in the mountains hardly anyone is able to go and visit, preach or encourage them and their church, therefore the responsibility lies solely on them.

Friends, it’s exactly because of families like this that we believe God has our ministry and training center running. We are able to teach, encourage, empower and bless these students here and they can then take that back to their communities to do the same.
