We’ve been a little quiet since Saturday.

Honestly, we’re still processing what happened. 🤍

September was supposed to be our public BUILDING CAPACITY gathering. We prepared, prayed, cooked, invited and expected a room full of people.

Then Bangkok flooded.

Many of you messaged us saying you wanted to come but simply couldn’t safely get to us. And we want you to know this clearly: we’re glad you chose safety. 🤍

But the doors remained open.

And eventually, a handful of us found ourselves in one room.

What happened next wasn’t what we planned.

It was smaller.
Slower.
More vulnerable.
More intimate.

We worshipped.
We opened the Word.
We cried.
We listened.
We prayed.

And somewhere along the way, the gathering we planned disappearedand something beautiful took its place.

Over the next few days, we want to share a little of what happened inside that room.

Because sometimes God doesn’t meet us according to the size of our plans.

Sometimes He simply meets us where we are.

Tomorrow, we gather to make room for more- more of God, more depth, more growth, and a greater capacity to carry what He has placed inside us.

This is a **public gathering**, and everyone is welcome. You do not need to be an ACTS242 member to attend.

Maybe you weren’t called to just attend. Maybe there’s something in you that’s meant to serve. 🔥

A gift. A skill. A burden. An idea. A willing heart.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others…” — 1 Peter 4:10

This week, some of our ACTS242 servant leaders gathered around a table to eat, talk, dream and prepare for what we’re building together.

Because ACTS242 was never meant to be something a few people build while everybody else consumes.

We need the Body.

The worshipper. The organizer. The creative. The teacher. The photographer. The intercessor. The person who loves hospitality. The one who notices who’s sitting alone. And even the person who hasn’t figured out where their gift fits yet—but has a willing heart.

There is room for what God has placed in you.

If you’re a Christian in Bangkok looking for a community where you can grow, serve, develop your gifts and use what you carry for the Kingdom, maybe we’ve been looking for each other.

Why ACTS242? 📖🧡

Our name carries the life we’re hungry to grow into.

Acts 2:42 describes believers continuing faithfully in the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer.

There is something beautiful about that consistency.

They kept learning.
They kept praying.
They kept sharing the table.
They kept showing up together.

That’s what we want to grow in.

Scripture shaping our everyday decisions.
Prayer becoming part of how we care for one another.
Fellowship growing through meals, conversations, shared burdens, and ordinary moments.

We’re still learning. Still growing. Still discovering what it means to pursue Jesus together here in Bangkok.

And there’s room for you to grow with us.

We pray hard.
And apparently compete harder. 😂😭

Yes, we love opening the Bible.
Yes, we make room for prayer.
And yes, some of us take game night VERY seriously.

The food.
The laughter.
The friendly competition.
The conversations that keep going after the gathering.

These moments give us time to know each other and friendships room to grow.

At ACTS242, we’re learning to pursue Jesus and do life together. There’s room for heartfelt prayer, deep conversations, and laughter that leaves your stomach hurting. 🧡

“So… who is ACTS242 actually for?”

People like us.

And probably people like you.

Different countries.
Different churches.
Different professions.
Different personalities.
Different stories.

Some of us have followed Jesus for years.

Some are rebuilding.

Some are discovering deeper hunger for God.

Some love the microphone. 😂

Some would rather never touch one.

But there is something bringing us to the same table:

JESUS.

We want to know Him.

We want His Word.

We want prayer.

We want His presence.

And we want brothers and sisters who will pursue Him alongside us.

ACTS242 isn’t about belonging to the “right” church circle.

We’re a cross-church Christian community in Bangkok.

Your church can still be your church.

Your existing friends can still be your friends.

We’re simply creating another table where hungry believers across this city can find each other and pursue Jesus together.

So no ,

you don’t have to already know somebody.

Come as a stranger.

We hope you won’t stay one. 🧡

Prayer isn’t how we fill the space between worship and the sermon.

We actually pray.

We pray until our hearts align with His.

We intercede.

We repent.

We listen.

We lay hands on one another.

We contend.

We wait.

We make room for the Holy Spirit to do what no program can manufacture.

Because the early Church wasn’t occasionally interested in prayer.

They were devoted to it.

“They devoted themselves… to prayer.”
— Acts 2:42

We don’t want to build Christians who only know how to attend powerful gatherings.

We want to become a praying people.

Hungry for God in the room.

Hungry for God when nobody is watching.

Hungry for God on Monday morning.

Hungry for God in our homes, workplaces, churches and streets.

PRAYER isn’t part of the ACTS242 program.

It’s part of our DNA.

The gathering ends.

Community shouldn’t.

One of our favorite things about ACTS242 happens when there is no microphone, no worship set, no sermon and no program.

It’s the meals after.

The random hangouts.

The check-ins.

The ridiculous laughter. 😂

The prayers sent during difficult weeks.

The celebrations.

And even the painful goodbyes when someone we’ve grown to love leaves Bangkok. 🥹

Because biblical fellowship was never simply about being in the same room.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship…” — Acts 2:42

Devoted to fellowship.

That’s different from attending fellowship.

We’re still learning what that looks like.

How to know one another.
Carry one another.
Pray for one another.
Celebrate one another.
And actually do life together.

Bangkok can be an incredibly easy city to meet people in—and still a difficult city to be deeply known.

We want something deeper.
