The Thailand–Myanmar border is at the intersection of health, migration, displacement, conflict and human security. This seminar will explore how evidence-based policies, institutional cooperation and community-centred approaches can improve access to healthcare and strengthen the protection of migrants, displaced populations and border communities.

During the week-long programme, participants will explore key concepts of human security and civilian protection through interactive discussions, expert insights, and case studies from around the world. 🌐

Duration: From August 2026 (4–6 months) onwards

📌 About this Internship

The internship will be based at our regional office in Bangkok. 🏢 The internship offers a learning environment on the different aspects of the foundation's work in Thailand. 🇹🇭 It is a supporting function to both the administration and programming of our work and activities.

The internship is for four or a maximum of six months 📆, starting from August 2026. Successful interns will receive a monthly allowance of 15,000 THB 💰. This is a full-time internship (Monday–Friday during normal working hours). ⏰

🎯 Your Profile and Qualifications

✅ You are in your final year or final months at university, or you have just graduated and are looking for an internship to prepare for your future career or a master's degree.

✅ Preferably hold a bachelor's degree and/or have equivalent relevant experience.

✅ You have a keen interest in political science 🏛️, law ⚖️, public policy 📑, public administration, or related fields.

✅ You are motivated to develop your ability to analyze and evaluate political, security 🔒, human rights 🤝, public policy, and social developments.

✅ You can prepare communication materials and social media posts 📱 in both Thai 🇹🇭 and English 🇬🇧.

✅ You are proficient in Microsoft Office 💻 and familiar with managing social media platforms.

✅ You are fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading, and listening) 🇬🇧. Knowledge of German 🇩🇪 is an advantage.

✅ You can support the team with translations between Thai 🇹🇭 and English 🇬🇧.

Hanns Seidel Foundation Thailand, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Police, is leading a Thai delegation to participate in the Regional Police Training Conference on the Conduct of Community-Oriented Policing: Training Response to Investigating Emerging Cyber-Enabled and Cyber-Dependent Crime Threats to Policing, held in Manila, the Philippines. 🇵🇭

The delegation is led by Mr. Achim Munz, Regional Representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, and includes representatives from the Royal Thai Police 👮:

- Police Lieutenant Colonel Krit Teerawesuwan, Prime Inspector, Highway Police Station 2, Sub-Division 2
- Police Lieutenant Colonel Pinyo Meephiam, Lecturer, Faculty of Forensic Science, Royal Police Cadet Academy
