Take a look at the regional dialogue on climate mobility held in Bangkok last week.​

For two days, 80 participants from Southeast Asia, Fiji, Nepal, and Somalia came together to exchange experiences, share evidence and explore practical approaches to strengthening resilience and responding to climate mobility.​

With climate hazards increasingly affecting communities across the region, cross-regional dialogue remains vital for sharing lessons learned and advancing solutions that fit local needs.​

This week, IOM, with support from the Thai Immigration Bureau, piloted the Verifier Travel Document & Bearer (TD&B) Mobile application with passengers at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

The portable, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)-compliant tool supports officers in detecting fraudulent travel documents and potential imposters, enabling more flexible and effective document checks.

Feedback from the pilot will help further refine the tool and strengthen document examination and border management operations.

In hard-to-reach areas of Nuristan, Afghanistan, IOM reached 191 families affected by recent flooding with emergency shelter and non-food items.

This assistance helped families meet their immediate needs and reflects IOM's ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities across Asia and the Pacific.​
