Last week, we introduced the idea of establishing a platform that would allow our members to present their own signature tours, complementing the offerings currently available in the NomadMania Tours catalogue.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. We received a number of outstanding itinerary proposals from members who possess unique expertise in different parts of the world and who already organize trips either professionally or as a side hustle.

As a long-standing member of the NomadMania community, Kostiantyn is currently the highest-ranked NomadMania member from Ukraine, having visited more than 900 regions worldwide.

Kostiantyn also serves on NomadMania's Executive Committee, where he leads the UN Masters Sub-Committee and closely monitors new achievements by travelers who have visited every country in the world. In addition, he is a member of the Verification Committee and plays a key role in the certification process for NomadMania members.

Last year Kostiantyn organized a group trip to Yemen, with at least half of the participants coming from the NomadMania community. Following our recent open call for member-led signature tours, he proposed recreating the experience with an even stronger and more refined itinerary.

We are therefore pleased to launch the first initiative of this kind as a pilot project. For the time being, it will be featured within the Shared Trips section of our platform, with the hope that it will pave the way for many more community-led tours in the future.

Newlyweds Daniel Nackasha-Keyworth and Mema completed an extraordinary 8.5-month journey around the globe without taking a single flight, travelling entirely by land and sea across 51 UN countries and 5 continents.

From Arctic tundras to African savannahs, Himalayan mountain passes to the coastlines of Central America, their journey became far more than a travel challenge.

What an incredible route to experience the world slowly and deeply through borders crossed, cultures shared, and challenges faced.

A special NomadMania meeting took place last weekend in Boston. Our local Envoy, Can Sarica, who recently moved from Toronto to Boston, guided participants around the Harvard University campus, including visits to its museum and library.

It was a truly unique and memorable gathering, combining travel community spirit with the rich academic and cultural atmosphere of one of the world’s most iconic universities.

We’ve just wrapped up four intense days in Ouro Preto — a final preparation visit ahead of our flagship annual event, the NomadMania Conference 6, taking place this June in Brazil 🇧🇷

Our managing partner Orest, travel experience manager Pedro and a local assistant Gabriel carefully inspected every detail to ensure that more than 100 delegates from 40+ countries will enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Early arrival in Ashgabat, hotel rest, Independence Day activities in the capital. Overnight in Ashgabat.

Day 2 – September 28

Visit Ancient Nisa, Kow-Ata underground lake, and Nokhur village; evening train to Türkmenbaşy. Overnight on train.

Day 3 – September 29

Arrive in Türkmenbaşy; visit the city and Caspian surroundings. Overnight in Türkmenbaşy.

Day 4 – September 30

Full-day excursion to Yangykala Canyon. Overnight in Türkmenbaşy.

Day 5 – October 1

Early flight to Ashgabat; continue to Mary, with possible time in Ashgabat and/or Mary depending on flight schedule. Overnight in Mary.

Day 6 – October 2

Visit Ancient Merv and Gonur Depe. Overnight in Mary.

Day 7 – October 3

Drive from Mary to Darvaza gas crater. Overnight at Darvaza.

Day 8 – October 4

End of tour; either return to Ashgabat with day-use hotel and airport transfer, or continue toward the Uzbekistan border via Koneurgench.

Turkmenistan tours are rare and spots are very limited.
