💙COINS ON SILOM 2026 - LET’S MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOGETHER!
On Friday, 30 October 2026, Rotary Club of Bangkok South will once again take to Silom Road for one of our most visible and enjoyable annual fundraising events - Coins on Silom!

📍 Along Silom Road, Bangkok
📅 Friday, 30 October 2026

For many years, Coins on Silom has brought together Rotarians, corporate sponsors, volunteers and members of the public for a fantastic day of fundraising, friendship and community spirit.

A broad red banner is laid along the sidewalks of Silom Road, with donation stations positioned along the route. Throughout the day, members of the public make donations and place sponsor-logo stickers on the red banner - turning Silom into a very visible celebration of generosity and community support. ❤️

And those small contributions really do make a big difference.

The money raised, together with the generous support of our corporate sponsors, enables RCBS to continue funding worthwhile projects throughout Thailand and helping people and communities in need.

🤝 BECOME A COINS ON SILOM 2026 SPONSOR

Corporate sponsors are an integral part of the work RCBS undertakes, and we simply could not achieve what we do without their continuing support.

🥈 Platinum Sponsor : 75,000 Baht
Your company name and logo receive prominent exposure across event flyers, advertising, signage, sandwich boards and marketing materials before, during and after the event, as well as official event T-shirts, the opening-ceremony stage backdrop and sponsor-logo stickers placed along the red banner. Stall space may also be available to showcase your company’s goods and services.

🥇 Gold Sponsor : 50,000 Baht
Your logo appears on event flyers before, during and after the event, two stands and sandwich boards along Silom Road, official event T-shirts and the opening-ceremony stage backdrop. Stall space may also be available.

🥉 Silver Sponsor : 20,000 Baht
Your company logo is featured on two stands and all sandwich boards located along Silom Road.

It’s an excellent opportunity for companies that value community involvement to support meaningful projects while being part of a well-established Bangkok fundraising event.

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ AND WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Coins on Silom isn’t only for Rotarians - everyone is welcome to come and join us!

We would especially love to see more young people joining our volunteers at the donation stations up and down Silom Road. Help us collect donations, meet people, make new friends and experience the atmosphere of the event from right in the middle of the action. 💙

It’s a lot of fun, you meet so many interesting people, and at the same time you are giving a few hours of your day to help people who genuinely need our support. 🙌😊

Come by yourself, bring a friend, bring your colleagues or get a whole group together. If you would like to help with the collections on the day, please contact us and join the Coins on Silom team!

Another great Friday lunch at Rotary Club of Bangkok South! 😊
It was wonderful to see so many members, friends and guests joining us for another enjoyable afternoon of fellowship, good conversation and Rotary spirit.

A very special thank you to our guest speaker, James Pitchon, who joined us once again and delivered a highly engaging and entertaining presentation on “The Thai Property Market – Past, Present and Future.” James has been a great friend and supporter of RCBS over many years, and it was a pleasure to welcome him back. 👏🙏

Thank you also to all our visiting Rotarians and guests who joined us. You are always very welcome at RCBS, and we hope to see you again soon!

Here are a few photos capturing some of the moments from another memorable Friday lunch. 📸😊

📚 OPEN A BOOK, OPEN A WORLD! 🌏✨
For many children in rural Thailand, having a good selection of books to read is something that simply isn’t available.

The Rotary Club of Bangkok South Library Kit Project is working to change that, one school, one library and one child at a time. ❤️📖

Each Library Kit provides a carefully selected collection of 120 age-appropriate Thai books, giving children access to stories, knowledge and new ideas that can inspire a lifelong love of reading.

The smiles in this photo say it all. 😊 These are the moments your support can help us create in more schools across Thailand.

🙏 WE NEED YOUR HELP TO REACH MORE CHILDREN

Every contribution, large or small, helps us bring books to schools where they are needed most.

Clean water, nutritious meals and brighter futures!💧🥛
At RCBS, we believe that every child deserves access to the essentials needed to grow, learn and thrive. Our continued partnership with the Foundation for the Rehabilitation and Development of Children and Family (FORDEC) is helping make that possible.

💧 Clean Drinking Water
RCBS has supported the installation of a clean drinking water system at FORDEC, providing children and staff with access to safe drinking water and helping create a healthier learning environment.

🥛 Milk, Eggs and Meals
Our support also extends to FORDEC’s nutrition programme, providing milk, eggs, lunch and snacks to help children receive regular, nutritious meals. These everyday essentials make a meaningful difference to their health, development and well-being.

The photographs capture the children enjoying their meals, celebrating the water project and sharing their heartfelt thanks with Rotary Club of Bangkok South. Their smiles are a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do. 😊

A big thank you to FORDEC, our fellow Rotarians and everyone who supports our service projects. Together, we are helping create lasting impact one child, one meal and one glass of clean water at a time. 🤝💙

🎾 From one court to a movement!
Last Friday, 4 September, RCBS welcomed Anders Frummerin, co-founder of Bangkok Padel, for a fascinating and entertaining look at “The Rise of Padel in Bangkok and Beyond.”

Anders took us back to the origins of padel in Mexico in 1969, when Enrique Corcuera adapted a racket game to fit a smaller enclosed space at his home. He then traced the sport’s remarkable growth across the world, including Sweden and Thailand, before sharing how his own passion for the game inspired him to co-found Bangkok Padel and help bring it closer to players in the city.

The presentation was not just about sport or business. Anders highlighted how padel brings people together through teamwork, friendly competition and social interaction making it a natural fit for Rotary fellowship. Perhaps an RCBS padel team is not too far away! 🎾🤝

We also enjoyed a demonstration of padel from Anders, giving members a closer look at the game and its appeal.

🎟️ The fellowship continued with our charity raffle, where Khun Plum helped President Andrew select the winning ticket. Congratulations to PP Tim, who became our lucky raffle winner! 👏🎉

A big thank you to Anders for a wonderful presentation, to Khun Plum for helping with the raffle, and to everyone who joined us for another enjoyable RCBS lunch.

🇹🇭 From Thai silk icon to global lifestyle brand
Last Friday, 28 August, RCBS welcomed Frank Cancelloni, Group CEO of Jim Thompson, for a fascinating look at the transformation of one of Thailand’s most recognised brands.

Since taking the helm in 2021, Frank has been leading an ambitious five-year journey to reposition Jim Thompson from a brand traditionally associated with Thai silk and tourism into Asia’s first global lifestyle brand.

Members heard how that transformation now stretches far beyond fashion — from interior fabrics sold in 60 countries and the iconic Jim Thompson House, welcoming 300,000–400,000 visitors annually, to restaurants, bars, art, luxury travel experiences and international expansion.

✈️ Partnerships with Thai Airways
🎬 A starring presence in HBO’s The White Lotus
🚂 A Jim Thompson luxury train experience to Chiang Mai
🛥️ And even a Jim Thompson-decorated yacht launching in Phuket!

Frank also gave us a glimpse of what lies ahead, including further expansion across Asia and the Middle East, new lifestyle and hospitality concepts, and two Hollywood projects exploring the extraordinary life and mysterious disappearance of Jim Thompson.

And before Frank even took the stage, we received some fantastic news: Jim Thompson will join us as a Gold Sponsor of RCBS’s upcoming Coins on Silom fundraiser in October! 🪙👏

A big thank you to Frank for an engaging presentation — and to Jim Thompson for supporting RCBS and our fundraising efforts.

💧 RCBS Clean Water Project – Surveying the Next Schools 💧
On 25–26 August, Rtn. Tony Kowatanawinta and Rtn. Leo Alexandersen travelled to Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) as part of RCBS’s continuing efforts to expand our flagship Clean Water Project in Northeast Thailand.

Over two days, they surveyed four medium-sized schools across four districts, each serving approximately 300–500 students, to assess their needs and existing access to safe drinking water. 🏫💧

The survey was carried out with the excellent support of the Rotary Club of Korat and the Rotary Club of Bua Yai, where Tony and Leo also met with PDG Maruai, who expressed his full support for the project and its continued expansion.

The assessment identified at least two schools with a critical need for improved clean drinking water systems — demonstrating once again how access to something as fundamental as safe water can make a meaningful difference to hundreds of children and their communities.

By focusing on medium-sized schools, RCBS aims to create sustainable solutions with significant long-term reach, perfectly reflecting Rotary International’s 2026–27 theme:

🌏 “Create Lasting Impact”

A big thank you to our fellow Rotarians in Korat and Bua Yai for their warm welcome, local knowledge and invaluable support. 🙏

🌍✨ A fascinating Friday lunch at the Rotary Club of Bangkok South! Last Friday, 21 August, we had the great honour of welcoming Archbishop Peter Wells, Apostolic Nuncio (Ambassador of the Holy See) to Thailand and Cambodia, as our guest speaker.

Archbishop Wells gave us a fascinating insight into the world of Vatican diplomacy and the remarkable process behind the election of a new Pope, including the conclave, the famous black and white smoke from the Sistine Chapel, and the recent election of Pope Leo XIV. 🇻🇦

He also shared his perspective on the role of the Apostolic Nunciature in Southeast Asia, with its strong focus on peace, human rights, education, healthcare, interreligious dialogue and support for communities in need. 🤝🌏

It was particularly meaningful to hear the parallels between these efforts and Rotary’s own commitment to service, peacebuilding and bringing communities together.

🙏 A sincere thank you to Archbishop Wells for joining us and for such an interesting and engaging presentation, and to all our members and guests who joined us for another excellent RCBS Friday lunch.

⚡ What an electrifying Friday at RCBS!
Last Friday, 14 August, our own Rtn. Ragil Ratnam delivered a fascinating talk on “Why Good Negotiations Fail?” Through engaging real-life stories and practical examples, Ragil brought the subject to life and gave us plenty to reflect on for our own negotiations, both professional and personal. 🎤💡👏

We were also delighted to welcome David MacCarl as the newest member of the Rotary Club of Bangkok South! 🤝💙

Congratulations, David! We are very happy to have you join the RCBS family and look forward to sharing many wonderful Rotary moments with you.

Thank you to Ragil for an excellent presentation and to everyone who joined us for another memorable RCBS Friday lunch! 📸😊

🎉🤝 Another wonderful Rotary project completed!
Today, 14 August, we were delighted to join our Rotary friends for the official handover of the new security wall at Ban Khlong Noi Border Patrol Police School in Pala-U, Hua Hin. 🏫💙

This joint service project brought together the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin, Rotary Club of Bangkok South and Rotary Club of San Francisco Greater Mission, working together to help provide a safer and more secure environment for the school’s 130 students. 👧👦✨

A big thank you to our friends at Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin for leading the project and for the warm welcome today, and to everyone who contributed their time, support and generosity to make it possible. 🙏👏

It is always rewarding to see what can be achieved when Rotary clubs come together with a shared purpose. 🌏🤝💙
